What control level is your starting technique?

So at Ascended Strength and Defense, bullets would be unable to pierce my skin?

Quick question! Quests, like the ones you see in the content site (the regional quests to be specific), if it's in the case where your character interacts with something specified in the quest, does an NPC Mod have to RP what you're interacting with, or do you RP that yourself?

Additionally, I'm not sure if I overlooked this or something, but just to confirm, there is a minimum wordcount for those regional quests, right?

You can RP the NPCs yourself and though I haven't seen a minimum for the regional quest wordcounts, I would assume it would be 750.

This feels like a question I should already know the answer to, but if you cast a spell that lasts for a certain number of posts (depending on the level trained usually), can you cast other spells during that time?

I could clarify better with an example, but so long as you don't have to hold the spell, then you should be able to use other spells. If the effects last multiple posts, then you're free to caste another spell; if the spell holds for multiple posts, then that may be different.

Can you have a Soulline as an affinity?
Just asking because I thought I saw someone with their Soulline listed as one (or at least the elemental portion of it).

Though, due to the fact that Soullines are incredibly cheap in cost and often don't have high stamina costs, it probably doesn't matter if you get the affinity bonus for them or not, so not having it cannot be considered a bad thing.

So do Soullines have to have a"mode" tech?

ya, all soullines have Soulmodes
you're not required to boost a stat or anything
but Soulmodes enable the use of Soulline techs

I know that taints are based on plants and animals but could there be a custom demon like taint made? Like to make a character half demon half human, or human demon tainted, however you wanna put it, lol.

What you're describing seems more like a possession than a taint, and also there is already a half-spirit half-human soulline in existence.

Most of the taints seem like possessions...Also, the half spirit soulline caters to a beautiful human appearance. I'm thinking Rune wants the opposite.

This says Location Desert. But there's no board for the Desert, so where does one post this one?

The stats are pretty self explanatory, but I just wanted to make sure (don't think there's a write up on the stats and their specifics).

Is Dexterity anything more than reaction time?
Movement is exactly as it sounds, the speed one can move from point A to point B and nothing more?

Dexterity is moreso like Agility. You use that one to dodge like a punch or also to attack. Basically how fast you can move your body in the same place. Movement would be used for evasion in the sense of outrunning an attack.

Hey Shin... is there a tech skill difference between the personnel units? Like would a Roe'nin be better at Martial Arts than say an Agent or Myztix?

2) Would agents in the Past Realm be able to select Physical Melee packages like Poleplay or Bushido in lieu of the gun techs?

3) Where is Poleplay on the Personnel page? I believe Agents or Berserkers used to have it b/c two of Psyre's demonic bodyguards had Poleplay b/c I bought them a WarAxe and WarHammer. :p

When you get the NPC pet from the Critter Master quest, it couldn't be taken to Onitoshi, could it?

Though it has the same build as a Yokai, but if it's physical then -maybe- not. I would suggest to have a pet with some type of spiritual influence and request permission on admin review to make assure it can go both ways.

Ah, alright. I got's another question. If your character has two life paths and you do a thread that could deal with both of them, could you claim the PWC for both the life paths?

Do the quests that are constant follow the same rules as quests you have to roll on?
o.O if you did a bunch of the constant quests, could you post them all at once?

You can do multiple permanent quests in one RP, but I would suggest specifying in the OOC of your posts when you end one and begin the next or something along those lines to avoid the possibility of someone saying that you just wrote a lot of words and started counting it towards this or that. Hope that helps.

In the quest Knuckle up it says "fill this with water from the Magic Well" and on the Magic Well "Drinking from here after a training session gives a x1.20 WC bonus to your training." So what I was wondering was if you filled the bottle with the magic water.. would you get the wc bonus after each training where you drank the water in the bottle?

You have to be in Caotang in order to get the training bonus. No matter where you are, you will be able to replenish your stamina in accordance with Knuckle Up, but the well's effect only works in Caotang. It's part of how the magic operates.

Is there any special place where you need to go, in an rp, to get personal? like a mercenary market? .. Also, the Min'gyon requires food as payment, where would you go about getting food in onitoshi, would you just use the cost of food on the past expansion page and buy the food in onitoshi?

Personnel are acquired thru RPs. So you don't necessarily have to be in a specific location tho some locations give a bonus or discount to acquiring personnel in that location. Also, I would suggest making sure that the locations make sense, like hiring Roe'nin in Gunshyne Bastion or Ming'yons in East City or Northern Heights might not be the most believable scenario.

For food, yeah, you would probably just use those totals and convert Shinny to $ or w/e the currency in Onitoshi is. Since the exchange rate for all currencies is 1 for simplicity.

With doing the lord path in onitoshi, do you need to worry about getting the different types of units for things? o.O

What do you mean? You pick your unit types based on their techniques since there is no difference between them. Like even tho it would make sense for R'churs to be better with rifles, throwing arts, or arrowarts, there is no unit bonus or anything, so just pick the units that have the packages that you want and go from there.

Carpenter, Farmer, Hunter, etc. The units in the past expansion page, not personal heh, sorry. Guess I should have made it more clear.

Why wouldn't you? You can still build houses and stuff and need food to feed your people and need money to buy stuff and supplies. You need Lumberjacks & Miners to harvest the supplies to build your walls and houses.

How do you go about acquiring them in onitoshi though o.O the same way for the past... force people to do your bidding? xD

Basically. 100 words per worker unless u can do the Slave Market in Onitoshi which would make sense... in which case, u can just buy them.

Are there jobs for spirits, or, if you're in Onitoshi, do you just take a job that would be justifiable down there?

That should be fine; Koutoshi seems to be the only one with 'job quests' associated with it.

Is there a difference between when base attributes are increased and when they "sync?"
Does "sync" mean anything special?

Got another one. Can a Summoner use the Support package on their summon? Was always curious about that.

Sync refers to the phenomena of your stats becoming a certain attribute. So if you're a human who sync's to strong, you get a boost. If you're a Ascended Woylf who syncs to strong, you get a nerf. A summoner should be able to use the support package on their summon as far as I know.

Do humans leave behind 'spiritual' footsteps?

To my understanding, that's reference to spiritual entities? Because usually when referencing a diverse group including humans the techniques specify 'target' instead of something with implication of abnormality such as an entity.

Blue: Yes, it's applicable to humans as well. The ones that are able to use magic would be a given, but the ones like Jyn who are normal and void of magic... that might be a bit more tricky unless it tracks by their "inner spirit" or something like that. I think there's only 1 normal human on the site, but I suppose we can see what Shin says on that one.
