After Manifest (Adrian, Open to whomever)

:: The sutra cards fly up. Domen's eyes cut at the view of them rising to his height. He was not fully aware of spiritual arts from his previous experiences, but he did know an attack when he saw one. With relative ease, given the time of distance between the two, Domen's, or rather, Adrian's, blade slashes at the cards, using the blade and the wind of the slash to deflect the attack. Domen could see that the human was not close to giving up. Around this time, some other things happened as well. The large demon that was attacking the metro was destroyed and the sound of human chaos picks up about the city as if the demonic threat had been vanished from it. Also, there is a very large light in the distant forest that raised a pillar of light into the skies. It seems to fade away over time, and Domen knew that by the time he went to investigate, it would be gone. Plus, there was still the annoyance of this human who sought to fight him. Not wanting to be interrupted by the human enforcers of this realm, Domen speaks to the human saying, "meet me at the edge of this city in the meadow lands just short of the forest... I will be awaiting you." With that, he gives a final nod to the human and flies off in the direction of Gothstone's north western edge. ::

:: The buildings and structures of the city dissipate from below as Domen exits the urban and enters into the rural. Beneath him a new landscape rolls up covered with manicured then tall and unkempt grass. Coming over a large field near the half way point between the city and the forest, Domen’s body begins to slow. Coming to a pause in the air, he looks around and notices that there is enough room about to let off a few good attacks. His body lowers in a standing position and his feet eventually come to the ground with the tall grasses coming to the height of his thighs. His arms fold at his chest as he looks up towards the silhouette of the city awaiting Adrian’s arrival. He is quiet and still; a shadow in the dark caste open plains. ::

:: Domen awaits the entry of the human as he comes into the open fields. The demon stays still with his eyes on the horizon as to not miss the human, due to the lack of light, it wouldn't be impossible to miss him if he were to crouch in the grasses and approach carefully. His lips murmur lightly as a dark mist begins to appear in the are and linger about making the area in the fields a bit hazy (miasma) while spreading out creating a thin layer of gas in the air. The demon knew that there were several routes that could be taken to this spot and it could take the human a long amount of time depending on his top speed coming to this area. Domen's watchful eyes catch a glimpse of movement over the fields illuminated by the red moon light that shined down from above. There is a moment where he believes to have heard a movement in the grass and a low whisper as something comes closer. Speaking with his arm folded and a solemn stern look upon his face, Domen welcomes, "human, can it be that you have learned not to yell everywhere you go?" ::

:: Domen notices that there is no answer that comes verbally, but there is movement in his miasma; his dark mist starts to fade away at a distance in front of him due to an unknown force. There was the soft sound of the Sutra cards cutting the air and fighting against Domen’s powers, purifying the area to his immediate front approaching Domen’s position. This sets up the proximity between Domen and Adrian after the latter’s arrival into the scene. With a partial grunt, he finds this understanding and wonders if the human had developed some type of magical power by this point. Domen’s logic would be that Adrian would have to have gained something in order to make it logical for him to throw himself into a situation against a demon of Domen’s strength having faced him previously in the past. “Very interesting,” Domen remarks as his hand rises and he holds up the sword of light had had been gripped there. It shines brightly illuminating the area. Domen’s eyes adjust to seek Adrian as he speaks solemnly with a frown wondering, “you dare not answer me? Then answer this... where did you find such a weapon, human?” ::

Location: Outside the City

:: As the devil’s blade spins over the high grasses of the field towards the demon, Domen’s attention is brought to it. In his earlier fights, he knew that Adrian had the ability to recall his blades at will, still, his pride would not allow the blade to touch him. With a tremendous backhanded slash, he slams the blade out of the way with a terrible sounding clangor. The Devil Teardrop then vanishes and appears in the hand of the rushing Adrian. Noting this and stepping back, Domen brings the blade between himself and the human to stop any approaching sword attack that may be coming in and locking with the Devil’s Teardrop causing chaotic sparks between the two blades on contact. ::

:: Domen feels there is some increase in the human’s strength as he tests his might in the clash of blades. Suddenly, the pressure is released from the blades on Adrian’s side and the human slaps him. Expecting some sort of searing pain that should accompany an attack so hard worked for, Domen’s is a bit confused at the human’s tactics when he noticed the attack was to place the strip of paper that clung to his forearm as if held on by duct tape. As Adrian grins and speaks, Domen does the obvious reaction and peels off the tag and holds it, looking at it, then look at Adrian wondering why he was so confident. During the time it takes to peel it off, Domen would have had the strength of a normal human, but would not have the chance to notice it. ::

~ Personally, I would have went for the small of the back, somehow.

:: The centuries old warlord notices the shift in Adrian since he was looking at him. Assuming that the lung was with open arms it might leave Adrian open, so to answer as a reflect, Domen lifts his knee as the swordsman lunges at his waist, aiming the strike to hit at the base of his chin. As he does this, he states, “don’t be absurd. A frontal assault like that will never work.” The strength of the simple knee strike should be enough to back Adrian away from his position if not send him flying up or back a little if it hit. If Adrian is successfully repelled, Domen would remark, “there is too much desperation in your attacks. You must control yourself before you can control the tide of a battle.” Overall, it would seem as if Domen was training Adrian to be on a level to defeat him. ::

:: If there was time to permit, Domen would probably be impressed at the way Adrian was able to take the unguarded knee to the chin and regain his composure to continue his attack. Domen notes the telegraph of the weapon being drawn back for the thrust and shifts his body to the side at the moment the weapon is to push into him. While shifting at Adrian’s side, the arm wielding the sword of light slams down with the butt of the sword aimed to strike at Adrian’s neck or upper back to knock him towards the ground front first. ::
