Can PEXP be used for Shin Shop purchases?

What's PEXP? If that's PEXP, I would think no, since it states EXP, but since Storyline Chars can't gain EXP, that would hinder them in a way that I doubt Shin intended to.

El jefe, we no longer have the Honed roll that we did with the old dice system. For the critter quest, are you going to put the trained roll back or should we just 1) simply getting the critter or 2) do a stealing roll for it?

kay, so... how does rollin' a 2 with the critter quest work when you don't beat up the animal?

2: Success, broken condition (i.e. you steal, but the item does not work, is worthless, or is destroyed in the process)

for the critter quest, just go with whether it fails or succeeds
don't worry about the stolen conditions

What exactly is the difference between Dexterity & Movement in H2H terms? Like MOV is Speed, right? Like how quickly you can get from point A to point B... so would DEX = Agility?

dex = tumbling
mov = running (distance)
try not to fixate too much on what the actual stats are

If I mastered half the moves in both Vaspire and Woylf.

Could I then either make a custom Tech that allows me to transform to a mixed form with certain attributes?

Or do I have to make a whole new possession type for that?

You would have to request a Custom Combine ability. You can propose a transformation tech and see if Shin likes it.

Quick question. Can a Soul Link be one's affinity?

yea.. since they are blood lines.. all of my spirit lines are lightning, and my entire family are lightning spirits who guard the heavenly coastlines

Answer: No. Your affinity must come from a package posted on the techniques or possession pages. Also, Soulline/Taint abilities do not gain the affinity reduction bonus either. Ex: Even tho my Golem tech is clearly Spirit Arts, it's not from the package or one of my customs, so I pay full price as if it's non-affinity. We are allowed 5 customs per package, so we have plenty of customization room there. Hope that clearly up any confusion.

Wouldn't that just make them like an inherited custom? Since it is an ability that you are born with, it makes sense that it could be within your affinity, as that is your primary focus of ability.

example : you are fire, you have kids and your fire skill is passed down to them, where their affinity is fire as well. thus they are great at fire, just like you were

That can be a storyline basis, but soullines honestly aren't meant to an extension of your affinity. That's why I didn't set mine truly specific to Spirit Arts. It's meant to work with any affinity and strategically give you an advantage.

Also, if you look at Mukhya, his affinity is Spiritual Arts, but his "inherited" abilities are psyche based. Heck, even my sole custom at the moment is psyche based. Also, with the wolf eye soulline thing, their stuff is all about vision and ninja eyes and such, nothing to do with their affinity unless they are a Seer with Seer affinity.

Now, say someone has transformed or used their possessed form. And they just talk and take no battle reactions. Because trans have the same drain as what would be recovered, would the drain and recovery just neutralize?

correct Taking no action while in a transformed state means that you Gain 5, which negates the 5 required to hold the transformation.

During the saga's Bonus Achievements, do you want us to roll for hit/miss with spells?

Due to the fact that spells aren't hit or miss anymore, you're interacting with personally controlled NPCS, and the sHP is set up like it is, I believe it's safe to assume that you shouldn't have to roll to see if the spell comes out successfully. Normally you only -have- to roll when going up against members or site controlled NPCs.

Do the transformations of Spirits conflict with those derived from Soul Lines? As in, if a Kami were to turn into a human and then...transform into an Ogre, is that possible?

No, they do not conflict, thus yes it would be possible. Most soulline Xformations would simply build upon the current form or shift you even further. Basically a taint or soulline is merely an addition. Most likely, even if you were in beast form, it would turn you into some type of humanoid form for something like ogre.

Nope. Xforms are passive b/c once you are tainted or "realize" your soulline then that is always active, it's just that some of them are trainable passive like the sensing package. The spirit transformations are active and have a stamina drain though. That might be why xforms only boost one thing.

Is dual Soulline possible?

@Kaguya: No. You can only have one soulline and one taint.

can we get a level listing with names for things past +5.. since we are now getting to points where attacks are over those, a chart would be nice..

This would probably be categorized as a site suggestion.

+6 and above is simply considered Destructive+ from what I have seen in past posts.

Shin, can you give an item a storyline character gets via doing an achievement in a saga to one of your own chars? I know the rules say wc goes to normal chars

^Can WC go to another character if they aren't storylined? I'm wondering because I'm ditching the Qualude concept, so I figured Okua (who was present in the saga as well) would be able to claim his posts for his own.

If you miss a day or a few on claiming exp and texp on a rebirth character, can you still claim it in some way?

"All EXP and TEXP is refunded. You will gradually be able to get back all the EXP and TEXP in your bin that you've accumulated to the point of your death. You can request to be allotted 10% of your EXP and TEXP per day for use. After requesting this for 10 days, you will have gained back 100% of the binned EXP and TEXP you used to have. You will be able to use this however you wish."

the 10 days don't have to be sequential

but, you can't do something like: rev a charrie on day 1... not claim for 10 days and then claim all 9 days that you didn't post for. if you don't post that day then u just gotta wait longer to get your stuff back.

you gotta physically post 10 claiming posts in order to complete the process
so that means
monday, post claim 1, tuesday post claim 2, (oops i missed wednesday... that's okay, just post the claim 3 on thursday, etc.

on a side note, there is nothing there that says you have to do anything on those days either.. so you dont even have to rp, just post a claim for it. right?

What about their quests? (Flight Acquisition Quest, Spiritual Impression Quest, Yokai Transformation Quest.) Would they work just like Yokai with the ability to use magix and all that?
