| | It was another night, Grunty stood in an alleyway, illuminated only by a street lamp. A hobo stood near her, reaching out with crazed eyes for the baggie of white powder she handed him. The last of his life savings were gladly given up to the woman. Sighing, satisfied with her work that night, she turned and began walking towards her hotel room. Her partner wasn't there yet, but there seemed a discernible charge in the air, the sort of charge there was on a full moon that made the werewolves start howling, but it was simply a crescent moon. It was probably her imagination, she thought as she reclined on the bed, wondering where Shou was. Deciding she'd want to knock herself out quickly so she could wake up early, she downed a couple of pills with a swig of rakia. Everything slowed down, and soon her eyes were closed and she was sleeping soundly. Such a combination tended to give her vivid dreams... |

I moved lightly through the street, heading towards the mansion. The small road that connected the guest house to the main area had been covered in dead leaves and a cold layer of ice. I kept myself warm underneath the large, white winter coat. The fur lining was comfortable against my skin, and my black pants accented my style of clean and professional. my blonde hair was up in a hat, and I wore a pair of black aviators with copper trim. Yawning, I stopped as a gleam of something caught my eye. There, indented in the side of a tree was a strange looking stone. Slowly, I approached it, while wondering if it was really there or not. As I got near it, I felt a strange pull in my stomach. Something was wanting me to touch it, and not just my curiosity. With a smile on my face, I brought my hand to it, and pressed my palm against its smooth, cold surface. I felt myself drawn out, and a spike of energy came through my body, pulling my mind to somewhere else.. Tech : Words : xxx / xxx |

| | Now this dream seemed particularly realistic, and she found it strange all the details she could detect. She was in her smallest form, a little black vixen that matched the asphalt and darkness nicely. The ground was invisible beneath a thick, rolling mist; the sort you might see rising off of a lake early in the morning. The way before her was clear, however, and looking around at the sagging buildings, she could've almost sworn she stood now in the lower commons at some late point in the evening... namely one of the parks with its rusting jungle gyms and creaking swings. Something seemed amiss, however. Where one would see cars of various descriptions barreling past on their way to the two main hotspots in the region, there lay nothing but ominous stretches of street. Where one might see a hooker, idly licking a lollipop and checking a mirror to ensure her eye makeup still covered her bruises, only a lonely lamp stood, emitting a gross, yellow light the same as all its brothers and sisters down the street were. She couldn't even detect any rats, usually scampering around such treeless parks in search of bits of dropped refuse from the hands of the shadowy types who came here to do business. For once the familiar park was completely quiet, and the silence seemed more ominous than any roar ever could, and she crouched in the tall grass, thinking some great evil lay behind this sudden abandonment. |

I slowly opened my eyes, looking up and away from my body. I had taken a knee somewhere, and I had a strange sensation that I wasn't in the north anymore. There was a light mist covering as far as I could see. There was a strange glow from the lamps that lined the streets. I gazed wearily down them for a moment before stepping to my feet. Maybe this was a trap that I had fallen into, something like a dimensional rift that held prisoners for certain amounts of time. I shook my head at that thought, and figured it would be best for me to just level the entire area. I wasn't a fan of playgrounds anyway. It really looked like something from one of those horror flicks that Lauren loved so much. "King of skies, lord of the earth, Lend me your strength." Inhaling deeply for a moment, my right arm extended towards the sky, while my left one stayed pointed towards the ground. Taking a quick sip of air, I split the positive from the negative inside of my body. With a deep, forceful exhalation of air from my lungs, I pulled down a lightning storm into the area. | | As she crouched there in the grass, there came to her ears a sort of incantation... the sort the warriors in her former home would give when practicing their attacks. At this familiarity, she silently bristled as her night-tuned eyes found what appeared to be some sort of businessman spirit, as much of an oxymoron that was according to her experience in yochi. The nature of his incantation immediately identified him as a kamikonjou, but he seemed to have some sort of further familiarity. She wanted to question him, but she couldn't be sure that, as a warrior of Bleaus, he wouldn't attack her on sight. Lightning fell from the skies, one bolt after another in an area about the lone figure. For a number of things, the little vixen was grateful. One, that everything around her reached further into the sky than she did, namely many metal things that curled up as though dying from the force of the bolts... the swingsets, the streetlamps, the jungle gyms... now the only light remaining came from the more distant, foggy lamps and the moon, giving her further security in the darkness. Another was that the kami's vocal chants and two legged form made it easy to find his position. Since he seemed unable to direct a bolt directly at her, instead scorching patches of grass at various distances. She had hope that the man hadn't spotted her yet, but his sunglasses concealed his gaze and for all she knew he was simply trying to scare her out of hiding. She thought to creep forward on her belly to get to a more secure perch in a tree, but such rustling would certainly alert him if he wasn't simply bluffing. Him potentially being racist against her sort, as she'd previously thought, discouraged her from wanting to come right out and ask for his name, title, and in what manner had they entered this realm. However, she couldn't hide forever. Obviously since only he remained in this shell of her end of town, he must hold the answers she wanted. Perhaps if she injured him a little so he couldn't fight back, then asking about the circumstances would prove simpler. Thus wordlessly, she summoned the electricity from the deadened streetlamps and the brooding clouds. The power marched out of the wires like ants and descended out of the sky like flies, thousands and thousands of specks of light, covering every inch of the area in all directions, floating, flowing, glowing, purple, blue, and pink, buzzing about the air over the tall park grass like so many luminescent gnats... Then they would all explode. And the vixen would still be crouching there, still unmoving in the crisp, black grass, and would look and see if the other had been caught up in the blast that would have coated most of the city block in electrical power and light. The city park would more resemble a parking lot, however, and be a poor hiding spot for the remainder of the battle.

the lightning would come down through the area, striking the architecture, blowing lamp heads, and more than anything, put on a beautiful display of light. I stood there, rising to my full height for a moment before exhaling. Looking around me, a familiar ability took my eyes. Knowing that I was not the one bringing this ability out, I had to think fast. there had to be someone else here, so I would do the same. "Strike of thunder, draw my spirit into force." I felt my body lift off of the ground and move straight into the air. Pulling an equal amount of energy out of the sky, I drew a single bolt down in front of me to attempt to slow the lyteflies down a bit. The lightning bolt would ignite a preemptive explosion from part of them, where I would move up and out of the way. Lifting into the sky, I would watch the explosive light show take place. Hovering in the sky, I pushed my arm out, and steadied it. If anything else came from that desolated area, I would be ready for it. "whos there.." | | The little fox looked up in the clouds slowly, confused a little bit. So it appeared the man planned to try to fly above the attack. Well, it went about 900 feet or so in the air already, a very long distance for him to try to cover in but a few seconds, however, since the flies appeared to be taking longer than usual to go off, long enough, in fact, for him to get off a chant and fly 900 feet in the air, they would float upwards after him, a fact that pleasantly spared the grass she crouched in. Unfortunately, her opponent held the presence of mind to counter with another electrical attack, but there were the thousands of little lytflies behind him that still exploded (Reduced Damage: Fierce), and he didn't seem to be aware of them, which would make blocking pretty hard. Up above, she could hear the man cry, "Who's there?" He'd flown a safe distance away, but he would be far from unconscious, since he still floated in the air talking to her. The old fear and prejudices still remained in her mind, along with the thought that perhaps the spirit held more resilience than she thought. In such a case, it would be in her best interests to make sure she held the upper hand before she went trying to say hello to this particular kamikonjou. He was too far away for her to try to yell anything discernible at him anyways, given the nature of her voice. Idly, she wondered if he was still wearing his sunglasses as she launched her next attack. The air above still held much of the electricity from the previous exchange of lightning, and without missing a beat she simply reignited the spent power, hoping this time perhaps he would be caught off guard.

Thus far, it’s confirmed that the counter lightning attack partially works to set off the light flies that continue to follow the ascent upwards. With the assumption that strong speed is able to move faster than light flies can lift from the ground, the much faster bulk of the explosions caused by the devastating attack would whiff and cause a large amount of air and electrical debris displacement causing mild damage (mid). Thus, in order for the little fox to hear “who’s there” it must have been uttered, meaning the male, or I, who said it must have been in a condition and rationale where he, again I, could, or want to, speak. And then continues the narrative…
I notice she does not answer me. I also notice that I had taken damage, which I do not admit, yet technically accept. Knowing I am far too sexy for this fight and my shirt among other things, I realize this is a waste of time. Instead of continuing to amuse and fight an enemy who would not even show him or herself, I give a simple “ciao, stranger” and I feel the wind flowing through my hair as I fly away from the fight in the coolest manner possible.
