I yawn as I step off the subway and walk up the multitude of stairs to city street level. I sip the coffee I got before boarding, slowly waking. I'm not too big of a morning person... Well on Mondays I'm not. Mondays are evil. Garfield was right. Evil!

I sigh and tuck a strand of hair behind my ear as I walk a block to the Div12 building. I was edgy. I needed to train and I knew Angela could give me a safe place to train myself in some of the weapons I had become rusty with over the years, also give Jigoku a stretch. He had been bothering me as of late for a good round now that my blades have been bound to me. Reirei is singing this morning, Jigoku in the same boat as myself as we wait for the coffee to truly kick in.

I yawn again as I enter the door to Div12, walking up to the desk. Brian is there. Yare yare.. Doesn't this guy ever get a day off. I give him a slight smile. "Brian-san.. Could you get me an escort to the lab.. Also inform Angela that I'm here to give her more numbers," I tell him in a gentle voice, quite calm because I'm just beginning to feel the effect of my coffee. Today I'm wearing a pair of black hakama pants and a red tanktop, my hair pulled back in a bun. I take another sip of my coffee as I wait.

Looking up, Brian notices the approach of Shiori and gives a friendly smile, welcoming, “hey you~! Sure, let me get that for you. Hold on one moment.” He reaches forwards and presses the button for the line to security. A deep voice answers to which Brian speaks, “Craig. Shiori’s back to visit Professor Angela, do you mind taking her up.” The voice over the mini speaker confirms, “I’ll be there in a moment.” Brian looks up and comments, “he’ll be here in a sec.” Since there would be a few moments before Craig arrived, Brian continues, “so… you get to go into the research facilities? What’s it like in there? Is it all crazy?” After his question is posed, he presses the extension for the R&D lab where Angela was.

I sit on an observation table with my arms over my knees as I lean over slightly with my shirt off. The rest of my clothing is on. With an annoyed sigh, I request, “is this really necessary?” Angela shushes me as I could feel her face against my back with her hand on my chest. “Just breath normally,” she says in a commanding tone. It seemed more like she was hugging me rather than inspecting me. Ever since passing out on that mission with Ingel, she advised that I had to come for mandatory checkups. I didn’t protest because I knew I had some type of spirit entity within my body; it was either that or I was crazy. Still, they did not seem to notice anything about me much different from anyone else. I was still not as powerful as a hitorinji, and overall a normal human. “Angela…” I complain. I was mostly annoyed that it was taking so long. Suddenly, there is a ring from the communication device in the room. Angela leans up, then moves away from me to her earpiece laying on the counter on the opposite side of the room. She places it to her ear and answers it. The conversation I’m able to hear is, “hello?… oh… that’s fine. Thank you for letting me know.” She hangs up the phone and places the earpiece back down on the table. I look up and comment, “who was that?” She shrugs, adjusts her glasses and comments that something she ordered had come in. “But that’s not important,” she assures me, “it’s time for your performance testing. Get your shirt on and into the realm environment. I have a ‘special’ opponent for you today.” I frown slightly at the word special. First it was Sanzon, I could only imagine that it would be the fire demon this time. Deciding to just get it over with, I start to put my shirt back on.

Jyn came into work early today. Mou! Man tired me out last night. I think I've infected my boyfriend with my sex stamina.. Somehow. I listen idly to Brian as he calls Craig. I like Craig. Strong silent type who only speaks when its nessecary, unlike Brian. Fucking Brian is now asking me things. I nearly sigh in annoyance. I should have drank coffee when I gave Jyn his for the morning. Its probably the fact I woke up to feed him, make lunch and then had breakfast for him before i went back to bed for a coupel more hours of sleep. I should have just stayed awake. But I wanted the warmth of the bed again and fell to the temptation of it. I look at Brian and shrug.

"Not really. It looks like a normal lab to me," I answer him and then he is calling Angela. I sip my coffee and push off the front desk as I see Craig coming down the hall. I give Brian a wave. "Thanks Brian. I'll see you when I'm leaving," I say, walking toward Craig. "Morning, Craig," I greet, making sure to fish out my ID badge, flashing it to him, then gesture for him to lead the way. I'm slowly beginning to feel the effects of my coffee. Good.. Because I need to be awake or Angela will hand me my ass in that damn realm thing. She nearly did with the zombies. I mentally shrug, Jigoku now a bit more chirper though he swats at Reirei.

'Oi. Could you both not do that. You're apart of me and its annoying when you two start fighting. I don't need the distraction.' I say to them, able to speak with them through thought now that we are all joined.

Brian looks up as Shiori waves and walks away to Craig. “Oh… okay, see you around!” he calls after her. Craig approaches Shiori and responds to her, “good morning.” He gives a nod and starts walking with the motion for him to lead her and comments, “this way, I’ll take you there. How have you been?” It would be more social than he had been in the past, but Shiori was nice enough for him to be cordial. His steps were taking them in the direction of the elevators. If she spoke while they walked, he would respond accordingly.

It seems almost as if I am rushed into the room with the only explanation being that Angela was a busy woman and that this experiment was wasting her time. It was frustrating at times, as I could not read that woman. It felt like I was constantly being fed mixed signals, but one thing I did know was that she did not like me. I make it into the realm environment with no weapons and no special gear. Angela’s voice comes over the com as the terrain starts to build around me. “Jyn-kun, you’re opponent will look familiar. This person will come at you to kill; so don’t hesitate to fight back. Now I will initialize weapons on your body.” The terrain builds up from digital numbers to a dense forest. The actual forest area was about the size of a city block with a large clearing or meadow to the south and a river passing through it. I didn’t care much for a “jungle” terrain, but it sure felt real enough to me. The heat was already noticeable and the humidity was uncomfortable. I look down as my weaponry forms on my body, my guns coming in place as well as my armored vest.

I sip the coffee as we walk to the elevators. I blink as Craig becomes more social than he was the last time. Makes me smile. "I've been doing well. I'm just never good on Mondays for some reason. i call it my Garfield syndrome," I grin at my own silliness. We step onto the elevator as the doors open and I look at Craig. "Have you been doing well?" I ask and he answedrs me with a simple yes that makes me giggle. Craig is a nice guy. He's the kind of guy I would want on my side if I were ever caught in a huge battle.

I make very little small talk as we ride the elevator to the floor we needed for the lab. Craig allows me to get off first and then follows before he takes the lead. I continue to drink my coffee as we walk, slightly recognizing the numbers on the doors. This place it like a huge mouse maze. I really should begin to memorize it if I'm going to work here more. I frown a bit at that. I'm not good at being trapped in an office. it would feel too much like my old life.

Craig stops and I nearly run into him. I flush lightly and he produces the faintest of smiles before gesturing to the door. I smile at him and incline my head in thanks. "I'll probably need you when I'm heading out. Ja, Craig," I chirp and knock before I enter the lab. I shut the door behind me. "Ano.. Angela-san?" I call out, walking a bit more into the room.

A voice comes ominously through the air as Angela gives the final warning, “oh, and I had an interesting visitor. Enjoy the simulation. Simulation, begin.”

Angela greets Shiori as she walks into the room. Angela would be pretty much waiting for her with her hands in the pockets of her lap coat standing in the center of the room facing the door which was unlocked. With her arrival, Angela speaks, “welcome back, Ms. Kyro. I have an interesting opponent for you today. I think it may compromise your ability to fight, but still, it will give me some good data to work with. As you know, the brain gives various brainwaves in different scenarios. I’m glad that you were able to come and help me test this today. I trust that you are feeling well?” After a response or short pause, Angela would offer, “whenever you’re ready, the environment is set up for you. Your opponent will be the only target within the environment. I’ll take any questions you have unless you wish to get started.”

I have to say.. This woman scares the shit out of me with the way she acts. If i had a dick it would retreat into my body and become a pussy instead. I don't know what it is about her, but I just get this ominious feeling when she looks at me like that. Kami and I've barely even met the woman except for now and the last time I was here. Its that women's intuition. Its warning me of danger. She is right in business mode as I greet her in turn. Wait.. Wait.. What the hell does she mean? Kami I'm confused and also on a alert more, my coffee now finished.

"I'm good on questions.." I say and toss my cup in the wastebin I see. "I would like though if you could give me a bo staff, a whip and a pair of tonfa. I've been meaning to brush up on somethings. If you could it would be great," I say to her and move to the door I know will lead me to the realm. I'm curious now. Who could she put me against that would make me waver in my fighting?

“I’m glad to hear you’re doing well,” Angela admits as she adjusts her glasses. She agrees, “I shall have the weapons attached to you. I have some good models based off the older forest clans that should be sufficient to work with.” Angela then stands by and allows Shiori to enter into the realm. It would be like her stepping into the forest, and when the door closed behind her, it she would be fully immersed in the realm. After Shiori enters into the realm, the weapons she asked for would manifest on her body. Angela would make her way back to the console and zoom in on Jyn with a light smile coming to her face. “…Jyn-kun.” Shiori would have a digital green arrow manifest, pointing in the direction of her target as well as a mini map of the terrain.

I walk around a bit, not really seeing anything. I could feel something vaguely enter the realm. For some reason, it felt like something was interfering with my senses, which would make sense if I were trying to sense something digital and not real. I look in the direction where I think the entity was. It felt like a human, but I couldn’t be sure. It felt like it was about twenty or so yards north of me, which wasn’t terribly far away. With a sign, I comment, “time to get this over with” as I start to make my way towards the target.

I give her my thanks before i enter. Forest greets me instantly. I look around and I watch as the weapons I asked for appear. Good. I needed to practice with them. It wouldn't do for someone looking to be a weapon's master if they have weapons they are not efficient with. I blink as an arrow appears and then a map. Ain't that cheating a bit? I shrug and rest my hand on the handle of the whip on my waist as i move in the direction the arrow points. I feel like I should be more jumpy in this kind of environment. But I've always love the forest. But then I shouldn't trust this forest since its one of Angela's creations.

I roll my shoulders as I walk, mindful to keep myself quiet as i search out my target. Maybe she made it to be Jii-san. That would be hard for me to take out. I would never want to hurt the old man since he was like family to me now. I pause, listening to the forest. Its quiet for the most part. But then I hear a very faint rustle. I move back, shifting behind a tree as i search. Where will she spring my enemy from. I pull the whop from its holder and let the length of it unravel, handle gripped firmly in my hand as I lay in wait.

After the digital arrow blinks in the direction to go and Shiori has enough time to acknowledge the mini map to get an idea of what was around her, it fades away and no further terrain assistance is given. Moving quietly through the terrain, I approach the target enemy. My hand comes to the pistol holstered beneath my arm. I check the digital clips, making sure Angela gave me ammo, which she did. I wouldn’t pay enough attention to them to be able to tell that they were rubber bullets. The gun is held in both hands and held down and diagonally down as I walk towards where I sensed my target. If I knew one thing, it was that I needed to immediately take out the target. I had the disadvantage of being human that could be easily exploited by damn near anything else. I come within visual range of the target, with the obvious forest in the way. My back comes to a tree as I brace myself to engage the target. I peek around the tree to notice something walking. On closer view, I notice that it was… Shiori? So this was the trick Angela had in store. Wait… was Shiori coming here to train as well? In my surprise I accidentally step on a dry branch. “Shit…” I murmur. If I knew anything about Angela, that Shiori clone would probably rip me a new one, even though I knew she didn’t use bow staffs. Deciding it was do or die, I wasn’t about to open a conversation with a digital clone. After stepping on the stick and knowing that I could have been spotted, I lift my gun, take aim and fire two shots in clear view of this ‘Shiori.’

The sound alerts me to turn. Fuck. My enemy was closer than I knew. I really need to go see sensei and learn how to read other's auras better. I turn and my eyes widen at how I see within the light shadows the forest cast at this ground level. "Jyn.." I whisper in shock. How did Angela know this would be the one person I would not be able to truly fight with everytyhing I have. But I must. I can't lose this game of hers. A gun is lifted. Shit!

I dive to the side, tossing the staff up into the air. My one hits the ground, the other lashing the whip out to wrap around a branch. I use this to get myself steady. Its a generated person Shiori. You saw the specs the last time you were here. Its not Jyn. It can't be. I push off the ground with my one hand and pull myself up with the balance the whip provides to my other side. All of this is done in a rapid instinct and I turn to catch the staff in my free hand. I look at my opponent with narrowed orbs.

"Bitch has got a sick sense of humor," I grumble, flicking my wrist to have the whip loosen and it falls to the ground. Another flick has the tail end in my hand and I secure it to my side. The staff and the whip won't work in these conditions. I need an open space. The staff goes to my back again and I grab the tonfa.

"Plan to only shoot or can you fight with your hands like a man," I say with a smirk, rushing at my opponent. Never run from a gun. Get in closer in order to disarm your opponent. The tonfa are twirled and I find myself coming in low so that if this 'Jn' shoots again I can roll forward then strike the moment I'm coming back up.

“Tsk!” I emit in frustration as the attack misses and the target shifts to the side. I hardly ever missed, but I had Mr. Twig to thank for that. I knew that I had to think of this as a target and not as Shiori. Once I thought of this replicate as Shiori, it would be all over for me. Even Shiori, normally, would have greater attributes than my own, so I knew that I had zero margin to slow down or let up. The adrenaline was flowing. After ducking my shot, I notice as she comes up, catches the staff and immediately rushes to close the distance between us, taunt in tow. As she rushes, I single wield the gun in my right hand, zoning her up and taking aim with the target being her right thigh; I couldn’t bring myself to shoot for her chest for some reason. The gun fires another shot and as this occurs, my left hand takes the other pistol from its holster to be ready with my shoulder very close to the tree that I had previously had my back against. As a shooter, I wanted to keep this as far from a close quarter fight as possible.

The rush of a battle fills me. This is going to be so much fun. Though I'm still wondering why Angela picked Jyn for my opponent. My eyes focus in on the gun that is taking aim again. There is a hesitation though and I note at the gun is aimed lower. Ah. Seeking to immobilize me by taking out my legs. Interesting how this thing is thinking. Jyn is not a hitorinji though. I have that slight advantage as my shouchou activates, black lines scrawling along my flesh and only visible to those who can see spirits.

The shot rings out as I leap at him and chuck my right tonfa at him, seeking to distract as my leap closes the distance between us. I would land in a crouch. free hand reaching back and pulling the staff off my back to close those last few feet and went for the extended right arm in hope to dislodge the gun.

After the blast comes from the gun, she evades it and with speed comes onto me. My body would already be in an evading movement as it rolls about the tree that my shoulder was next to. So in that movement, the shoulder leant onto the tree, my back came to it and my body pivoted around to the tree’s front near the direction the Shiori clone had come from. I wouldn’t stay still much during this, and keeping my mobility, I over myself cover fire aiming for the location where she would have to come out in order to pursue me, with two shots, then any other depending on her movements. Striding away from that location, I seek to put some distance between us. During all this time, I was thinking, “shit she’s fast.”

Fuck he knows how to move. I end up swinging the staff fullly, bringing my arm behind and sliding the staff back as I crouch in the underbrush. He fires, my body not revealing itself. I winces as one of the bullets clips me. Their fake. But shit that hurt! And it only grazed me. Okay so bad idea for those things to hit. I'll have a bruise for a good day with my healing. I hear him moving and grin. He want to put some distance between us. Smart. Once in close range.. Well i hope he knows how to either fight with his hands or some other weapon than a gun.

I keep low as I begin in his direction, but I do a wide circle. I only get to my feet once I'm hidden in the shadows, snatching up my tonfa on the way. Honestly I feel like he is sensing me. Jigoku hums. Yea.. I might have to use him to get in close. He can take thse bullets on no problem. I nod and push out and rush toward him, the shadows already swirling in my right hand as I keep my eyes on my oppenent. Jigoku could handle the bullet and once in close quarters I would use the tonfa while searching for an open area to use my other weapons.

As I stride backwards, I lose sight of her as she sticks to the shadows and the ground. There was plenty foliage in my way of seeing her which wasn’t good. On top of that, something in the environment was messing with my ability to sense her movements. I figure that since she was a digital clone, I figured they weren’t advanced enough to digitally clone someone’s energy signature. Feeling an attack coming, my gaze shifts to her as she ejects towards me. Instinct takes over; stepping back, both pistols rise up and aim at her both firing off a four shots, voiding their clips of bullets in the process. The clips slide free of the pistols after the shots are fired. The aim would be more accurate on the last few shots than the first ones with the general area aimed at her center, not having enough time to pick a particular area of aim.

Both pistols raise and I push myself to close the distance, Jigoku forming in my hand as the shots ring out. I slash Jigoku through the air rapidly. [Jinsoku Slashes] I feel three of the bullets meet my blades. The fourth slams right into my left shoulder.

"Fuck!" I cry out, stumbling to a halt and I let Jigoku fade to grab at the spot that got hit. I glare at my opponent. Those shits hurt like all hell. I even can feel the burn of where one of the bullet halves grazed my cheek, blood slowly sliding down my cheek. I nearly snarl and I leap the last few feet, Jigoku reforming as I slash at him, using my power to extend the range of my blade, seeking to ruin that vest and knock him back. [Sonic Slash]

Before my eyes, I notice half of my attacks deflected by her ability to use a sword in the mere seconds it took for me to shoot them, which I felt was unreal. I didn’t know that people, much less Shiori, would have the ability to do something like that. No, this wasn’t Shiori, this was something much scarier that Angela had cooked up. Still, it curses like her as the yell comes out, but the effects of the bullets are minimal. Unknowing that I had rubber bullets, I assume that my shots had put her down like normal bullets should. The clips hit the ground and my hand moves to reload both of them quickly just in case. One clip slams in, but I am surprised to see her actual move after being shot, and with the same speed as before, she lunges at me. Caught off guard, I am leaning back as she slashes at me. Both pistols rise up in an X to attempt to block the slash, but her might overpowers me as the guard is broken and the slash forces me back several feet into and tree where my back meets with a harsh impact and onto the ground. My vest was ripped and one of my pistols was compromised. With a groan, I attempt to compose myself, quick to mobilizing to get up.

I land in a crouch after Jigoku does his damage to my opponent. I lift my gaze, angered by the huge bruise I'm sporting now on my shoulder. It throbs and I grimace. I shift back to standing and walk over to him and put Jigoku under his chin. "Just so you know. Because of you. I have to explain to my boyfriend.. The real Jyn how I got this bruise," I growl at Angela's creation. "I hate to worry him when he has work.. But let's end this now, spawn of Angela," I smirk as I summon Reirei, only to hiss and stumble back, unable to hold Reirei's weight in the hand with the injured shoulder.

"Shit.. Maybe those bullets cracked my collar bone with the impact.." I groan in pain, beginning to feel more of the pain thanks to the slight decrease in my adrenline. Fuck this is gonna have me down for a day, even with my healing abilities. I'll give Yume a buzz to heal me up. I have to close at Moonbucks tonight. I keep Jigoku held in a denfensive position.

For that moment, I play the vulnerable role. I had a feeling I would be taunted and not attacked, which is why I wouldn’t move after attempting to get up. It was a coy attack to sit in that position for the time allotted for her to walk over to me and place her sword at my chin, but it would seem that this replication had the same confidence as Shiori. Either way, that would be its downfall. Without speaking, the plan in my mind would be to squeeze my finger on the trigger of the gun that hadn’t left my hand with an open gut shot at her. Whether or not the bullet missed, I would be on my feet and at an advantage. But before that occurs, something happens. She stumbles back and seemed injured. I get to my feet and back away with my one good pistol pointed at her with my arm over my gut. It was lucky of me to have gotten that one clip in, if not, then I would have been assed out by now, but I was in a harsh amount of discomfort from my back’s recent date with Mrs. Tree. Still, this clone would have to do better than a lucky hit to take me down for the count. My pride as a man wouldn’t have me succumb to one of Angela’s ghost creations. I didn’t know what to do. I knew I should attack it and get it over with, but why would Angela have this amount of detail in a simulation. She was in a defensive position and my gun was aimed at her. This should be checkmate, but why wasn’t the simulation stopping. I wondered if I had to put down the clone for good. Just as I am weighing my options, a voice speaks over the atmosphere and states, “initiating coop survival mode.” Suddenly I am able to feel pings of spirit entities all around us. I lower my weapon and look around in all directions murmur, “oh shit…” There had to be at least twenty boogies and I had already sustained damage. Aside from that, the ground started to rumble and large dark walls started to come up from the ground successfully encasing us in some type of labyrinth set up.

A gun is aimed and I face down my opponent. This is going to suck if Angela actually wins this training. I feel like she's gonna be smug about it and I won't be able to live it down. I refuse to quit. I have my pride dammit. But... Why is he hesitating? Could Angela have put a concious into her programing? If she has.. Holy shit she is going to reinvent the technologically community entirely. I frown as nothing happens.

- Initiating Coop Survival Mode - A voice echoes overhead and I blink, looking around.

"What the fuck does that mean?" I say aloud and then my eyes widen as the ground rumbles, the forest vanishing. I hear something else just before I let out a yelp of surprise as walls fly up all around us. What the fuck? Finally it stops and I look at 'Jyn'. But why is he still here? My eyes watch for a moment and I slowly get a bad feeling as I lower Jigoku. Angela wouldn't do that... Would she? Oh Kami.. Jigoku hums and wants to take another crack at 'Jyn'. Please tell me this is just one of Angela's creations and not my boyfriend.. Mental whimper.

I can hear the groans of ghouls and I know it s not over yet. I look at the man I just fought with. Time for a test. "Jyn?" I say with curiousity. "Eto.. You're not a clone.. Are you?" I continue. "If your not... What did I make you for lunch today?" I ask quickly, knowing we don't have much time before we are going to have to fight.

I had enough intelligence to assume that I wouldn’t be attacked by the Shiori clone since we had moved into co op mode. I knew Angela probably wanted me to work together with it, in order to pass this stage of the test. I am weary of pseudo Shiori’s movements but I still take time to look around my surroundings. I frowned at the notion that I was now probably the equivalent of a rat in a maze with the scientist looking over me ominously. The clone speaks and asks a peculiar question. I had no intentions of seriously interacting with a clone, but her question is odd to me. Turning around, half annoyed that Angela would but that much detail into a simulation, I remark, “don’t be ridiculous. There’s no way I could be a clone, clone…” I turn as if ignoring the rest of the question before murmuring to myself, “and Shiori made me a bacon sandwich for lunch… I need to get more of those kool-aide packs…” Either way, it was not the time to reminisce about the lunch I had and now suddenly wanted more of. I look at my busted gun and put it away also holstering the working pistol as well. Crouching down, I reach for the pistol holstered at my ankle and pull it up. I reach for my utility belt pulling out various snap on attachments and a moment later, I have my grenade attachment functional on my pistol. This would help me make “doors” in the maze as well as take out large numbers. I pull my other working gun from the holster and wield it noting that they were coming.

I glare as he calls me a clone. Great. If this is Jyn I'm gonna have to whack him for not realizing that they is no way that Angela could simulate me this well. Unless she is secretly spying on me. That just sounds creepy stalkerish. Like Angela is some made scientist studying people as if they were labrats. I sweat drop. Scary thing is.. I could see Angela being that creepy. I freeze as Jyn continues and is able to tell me what I made him for lunch. Mother fucking bitch. She pit us against one another without us knowing. Mou! Now I have to explain more of what I do for Div12. Kami help me. Jyn is not all to comfortable with me possibly becoming a fighter for Div12.

"I bought more kool aide packs last night when I went grocery shopping and hid them from you since you keep going on kool aide binges, baka," I say to him as I turn toward the groans of the ghouls who are approaching us. "Jyn.. I'm not a clone. Angela has us both in the Realm," I tell him as I call Jigoku back and pluck the whip from my side holster. Reirei takes in the damage I sustained.

'It's not to bad. You'll be fine if you push through the bruising pain.' Jigoku finally says and I nod a bit. I'd still need to get Yume to heal me tonight before we start our shift. I let the whip uncoil to the floor and ready myself. If I can put some distance between where Jyn and I are fighting I can switch to the staff and keep the ghouls at an arms length from my person.

I continue to give the clone minimal attention as I attempt to figure out which way to attack to cause the most damage. It isn’t until after she speaks of the koolaide and mentions that Angela pit the two of us against one another that I realized that there might be truth in that theory. For a moment I think, ‘but she wouldn’t…’ before I pause and remind myself ‘yes she would.’ It starts to make sense to me why the weight of the gun felt different and minimal damage was done; she must have given me rubber bullets; but judging by the gasp in my vest, she hadn’t toned down Shiori’s sword one bit. Standing I turn and look to Shiori in disbelief with a bit of anger towards Angela building beneath the surface. She had unnecessarily put Shiori in harm’s way… I pause for a moment as I wonder just why Shiori was here or knew about this room. It would seem that would have to wait for later as I feel them enter into our corridor. We had two options, north or south. I am quick to inform, “the south path holds less bogies. You take the front and cut a path through and I will give us both cover fire to keep the enemy from the rear at bay.” The enemy comes into sight at the first bend of the corridor in the southern direction on seeing us, they rush our position. “You’re up,” I coax, hoping she would take the lead in that direction I turn to the north to wait for the enemy to bend the corner on that side. “I’m going to get that Angela,” I murmur as I prepare myself to cover Shiori.

I peer at him from the corner of my eye and find myself rolling them as I see realization blossom on his face and he looks at me. "Sorry about slashing you like that. Jigoku is real.. Your guns are issued by the realm. SO we have different levels in our weapons. But I guess I should be thankful it was rubber bullets and you were able to block Jigoku," I say, rolling my neck from side to side, wincing since my collar bone is bruised thanks to the impact from the rubber bullet. I've had worse injuries and pushed myself beyond them. Mind over the pain. It is all a matter of will and my pride as a fighter.

I blink in surprise as Jyn provides me with the locations of the enemies and then offers me the lead. I look at him and smile brightly. I'm glad he trusts me and I trust him to back me up. I give him a kiss on the cheek just as the ghouls round the corner and see us. A smirk finds its way onto my lips, my dark eyes gleaming with the excitement of battle. "Yosh! COunting on you to watch my back, babe," I chirp and I use the whip to flair out to the first rushing ghoul, lashing it across its face and tilting its head. The body follows the momentum of the head and the ghoul tumbles, the closest behidn it joining it on the ground. I flick my wrist, recalling the whip and placing it on my hip as I pull the staff off my back and twirl it in front of me, the pain in my shoulder forgotten as I assume a fighting stance, the staff held along my form as if it has become an extension of my person.

THe smirk on my lips turns wicked and I dash forward into the fray of five ghouls, the one who tumbled getting to their feet. "Ikuzo!" I shout as I use the staff to clock the closest ghoul along side his head. There is a sickening crack from the force of the blow and it falls twitching to the ground. The other ghouls look at me and then their fallen comrade before they roar and rush at me as if crying out for vengence. "Fun time.." I purr, staff whipping around as I shift my feet to keep my balance going along with the staff to give a greater power to my strike and thus not lose control of the staff or have it knocked from my hands.

The battle begins with her in the front and me in the back. I had never fought alongside Shiori before, but I knew she had to be capable. In these circumstances, there was really no choice in the matter. She was the melee fighter and I was the archer. Since she would be paving the way up front, I knew I had to make sure to keep them off of us; then again, numbers were a small matter in a narrow confine when you had a grenade launcher at your disposal. On visual of the ghouls coming around the corner, there is a “phfoom” sound followed by a large explosion as I fire my grenade into the center of the rushing group. I feel several “candles” go out with the blast as energy signatures fade, but a few more light up in place of the fallen, at least on my end seemingly spawning from somewhere in the north. I knew that must mean that I was correct and the exit would be to the south, following Shiori’s lead. Turning, I notice Shiori fighting, poetry in motion. Her moves seemed graceful and technical, when all I really had to do was pull a trigger. It was ironic, but I didn’t like being out of breathe. Turning back to my front, I switch from grenade launcher to pistol mode as I start to fire into the ghouls rushing around the corner while moving back moving backwards following the trail Shiori was or would be carving.

My focus of the world shrinks as I fall into battle mode. My pain is ignored, numbed by my mind. I'm stronger than my pain and will never allow it to overtake me to the point where my own fighting is hindered. If you allow yourself to fall prey to the fear of pain you yourself weaken yourself, leaving you vunerable to an enemy's attack and potentially your own defeat. It's something my sensei taught me when I was young.

"Ichi.. Ni.. San.." I count each strike, having not used a staff in a long while. But the balance is not impossible. Fighting with two blades has helped me learn to keep my balance with my attacks with the weight distrubution. I knock one down and then slam the staff down on its skull. I then hear something and something and then feel the blast recoil of a blast. It makes me smirk. I haven't fought with Jyn since that one night nearly a year ago before we first started dating and we ran into one another while demon hunting. He was only a grunt of Div12 back then.

"Yosh!" I feel excited and I giggle as I slam the staff down, using it to propel my form into the air over two ghouls. THey look up at me with stupid expressions and as I land I use the staff and crack it along the back of both their skulls. I lift my gaze to Jyn and smirk. "THis is fun.. Keep up, sweetheart and I might reward ya after I get off work," I wink at him and use the staff to quickly shift me out of my crouched position and I swing myself around on it and kick the ghoul who though he was going to sneak up on me. I giggle as I land. "Baka.." I chime and run down the hall, having cleared it, but I know there is more ahead of us. I feel like Angela is being homocidal towards us. Che.. Oh well.. More fun for us then!

Several shots are fired, a clip is emptied and Shiori speaks stating to keep up. I see the ghouls dispatched and handled and I skip step back before running after Shiori. As I run, I reload my clips and sense up ahead, trying to figure out where the exit to the maze might be. The actual layout of the thing would shift between lefts, rights and forks in the road, but for now I would trust Shiori’s judgment. “There are more ahead,” I comment as we get closer, “feels like about a dozen.” Behind, those who survived or continued to grow in numbers were in fast pursuit. At that moment I wished that I had more grenades. Ghouls block the entrance ahead and I am able to hear a sharp sound piercing the air as arrows fly past our position with some of the baddies seemingly able to wield weapon projectiles. Shooting to clear a way for Shiori, I fire a few rounds past her to the enemies ahead, stopping if and when she reached them.

I can hear his boots hitting the ground as he follows me. This is so much fun. I've always wanted to fightwith him again. I slip the staff back onto my back and grasp the tonfa, twirling them in my hands as I hear him speak of what's ahead of us. "Hai hai!" I chirp. This is so much fun. Its like being the main character in a video game. Kyaa.. I have to get on Jyn's Realm system and update my rogue character I have on the War of the Realms MMORPG. I named her Yukina. She's dating this guy named Jiseki and is his bodyguard.

Aare... I really shouldn't zone out like that. I turn the corner and there are the enemies. I find myself pausing. Not ghouls. "Uh oh..." I murmur as a dozen hellhounds turn to look at us. "Nice puppy," I sweatdrop as I get growled at. I hate hellhounds. Pain in the ass to fight if they get into a pack mindset. But we can't stop. "Cover me," I say to Jyn and dart forward. Snarls erupt as I strike the first and the block the attack of another, the tonfa not a weapon to be underestimated.

I watch as she rushes into the new group of ghouls with the added hellhounds in tow. The sound of gunfire rings out on both sides of her, as the bullets would reach some of the bogies in front of her moments before her. After she entered into battle with the enemies in the front, I would leave that to her as I turn my focus on the approaching hordes behind us. I pick off some of the ones in the front before I am forced to drop another clip and reload… or at least I thought I was going to reload. I soon discover that I had entered into here with a limited amount of bullets. I pat several places on my body, discovering that I was out. “Fuck…” I murmur lightly as I holster the guns. Hopefully Shiori was almost done opening a path for us to bust through to continue the running.

My eyes shift along the enemies as I dispatch the closest to my person, both falling down dead due to the fact I cracked the tonfa along their temples. The other hellhounds glare at me for the loss of their fellow comrades. Great.. I pissed off the mutt squad. The ghouls seem to be hanging back, waiting for the hellhounds to take me down then they will attack. Basically its a mob tactic, using numbers to overwhelm me once I am near defenseless. Not bad. THe ghouls have more brain than I thought they were capable of. I hear the gun shots as they ring out and then they stop. Crap. That cannot be good. I want to ask Jyn if he is okay but three heelhounds rush me.

"Mother fucker!" I snap as I'm forced to defend myself rapidly. I cry out as one of the hounds latches onto the tonfa, ripping it from my hand. SHit. I quickly strike at the other two, trying to put distance between us. I use a last ditch effort and throw the remaining tonfa in the face of a leaping hound. The thing yelps and falls to the ground. Screw it.

I summon Jigoku and Reirei to my hands, ignoring the pain in my left shoulder. I wasn't about to lose Angela's game. The hounds pause, watching the new weapons. "Jyn! Stay close now!" I say to him, my shouchou activating and making the black tattoos etch along my flesh with a faint blink glow, followed by the gentle scent of sakura blossoms. "Time to get a bit more serious.." I growl as I rush right at the pack of four hellhounds. The jump back, having not expected their 'prey' to attack them like this. I waste no time as I slash Jigoku and Reirei through the air with a speed I have gained through practice and nearly back breaking training. [Jisoku Slashes] Both can practically heard as they slice through the air and then I stand behind the hounds, panting slightly. I crack my neck and the houds burst into peices behind me and my eyes flick to the ghouls, a sadistic smiles blossoming on my lips. "Wonder hwo many parts I can hack you into.." I purr and lunge at them, blades at the ready. This insanity of battle. EVer since Jigoku and I have joined.. I feel the madness spreading like an illness each time I fight.

I watch on in a bit of awe as her blade moves swiftly through the enemies in front of her. She moved as if having done this all of her life; as if it was something as simple as brushing her hair. But still, I know that I could not simply watch her all day; there were more to go and we wouldn’t be able to make a run for the exit just yet. I grit my teeth in frustration of being out of ammo as I turn back to the rear front which I was supposed to be covering. Within the group of rushing baddies, the hellhounds run ahead of the slower ghouls that approach from the north from which we had come. With no other alternative, I set my stance with both hands up, palm open, and slightly crouched. It wasn’t a martial arts stance of any type, but a basic ready stance allowing me to defend or attack if needed. Pulling my coat from over my shoulders, I wrap it around my arm, seeing as I would be fighting doggies, and as the first hell hound comes and leaps up towards me, I lift the buffered arm up to which the hound bites down on. I could feel its pressure through the coat, but not focusing on that, my free hand is quick to grip beneath his throat as my body turns and swings him out and away into the other two hounds that had come to close. The dog flings off of my arm as I release him, knocking the other two back and giving me some time to prepare for an incoming ghoul. As a swiping attack comes in from a ghoul, my body shifts to the side as I parry the attack, catching his arm between my right arm and shoulder. I shift my shoulder and dislocate the arm before turning and throwing him down to the ground in a hip toss. Letting go of the arm, I pull him up and snap his neck before turning around as the doggies were already on their way back. The three leap at me at once. My body falls back and I place my knee at the stomach of the center leaping dog, rolling back and pressing down when I am on top, crushing its ribs. The other two dogs, however, are on me before I can compose and start pulling and ripping at my covered arm and left shoulder. I struggle to push them off, standing to my feet and swinging one of them off of me before turning to the other and jamming my thumb into the things eye socket to send him off of me yelping. Blood drips to the ground from my shoulder as I look up bracing myself for the next volley of attacks.

Blood. Dark and splattering. It hits the floors and the walls. It paint the gray. Sliding down in rivlets due to the weight the life giving liquid has. Flecks on my cheeks and arms, dotting me like little badges of my kill. THe smile tugs even more on my lips. I feel like I'm falling into a rushing thrill of energy. Jigoku is there, a pair of crimson eyes watching me in the shadows. Reirei seems to be silent and my pain from before isn't there. Blood. Dripping. Painting. Red. Red. Red. I want to paint the world in it.

Giggle. I take out the next set of ghouls, lusting for their destruction. Chaos. I taste it on my tongue and love it. Battle is the only thing that makes me feel so alive liek this. I turn as I hear a yelp from behind. My eyes then follow Jyn, my enemies dispatched for the time being. I smirk with a hint of pride in my eyes. Good Boy. He's learning to use his own body as a tool for fighting.

"Jyn!" I call out as I see him get hurt. The madness recedes as seeing Jyn injured snaps me from it. I glare at the ghouls who are still coming. I run toward him, blades at my sides. I see anothe rpack of hellhounds rushing for him. As I draw close I leap up and over him, bringing my blades down on the hounds. The last looks frightened by the attack and I look at it with glowing eyes, the madness lurking always. It yips and runs away. I raise to my feet and look at Jyn.

"Come on.. We can't find ourselves fighting in only one place. We have to keep pushing otherwise we'll find ourselves trapped in a constant respawning till we tire and they win. I don't plan on losing this, babe," I tell him and Reirei fades from my hand as I hold it out to him, smiling. "Let's hurry forward and win this game of hers," I say, my eyes looking to where we were heading, the groans of ghouls reaching my ears. "We can only push forward till we have nothing left."

“Pathetic…” I hear chime within myself. My gaze is forward as I gaze at the enemies coming towards me. Time seems to slow down for a moment and pause with a blue tint over the surroundings. I hear a very annoying sipping noise that I’ve come to associate with irritation. To my side, the dragonic male who exists within me, Damon, sits on his knees against the side of the wall with a tea cup in his hands, sipping from it casually. He lowers it into a small saucer held in the other hand and looks up, opening his eyes with a look of disappointment on his visage. “I suppose this is about the best a human can do. It’s a bother that I would have to assist someone like you…” he sighs. In an annoyed voice, I speak, “I don’t recall asking you for assistance. The day I accept a demon’s power will be the same day I die.” Casually, the long haired male admits, “yes, you might die a little that day. It’s coming sooner than you’d think. However, luckily like last time, it seems like you have a woman to protect you.” His words sting at my pride. “Really,” he scoofs, “can you even call yourself a man? Where is your pride?” I inform him with a bit of indignation, “I haven’t fallen yet.” He nods and comments, “that’s true... Good luck.” Time resumes and the blue tint leaves from the environment with all of the chaos from before funneling back into place. Gritting my teeth, I am about to rush to meet my attackers head out, but Shiori intervenes dispatches them with relative ease. My arm presses against my shoulder as she comes to me and advises it was time to move on. “Tsk…” I frown slightly, disappointed that she came to save me, but I keep it from showing on my face. Taking her hand, I pull myself up and nod, “all right, let’s move.” With that, I continue running down the south corridor clutching my injured shoulder.

I help him to steady. I came to help him out of the need to win this, not once thinking about a man's pride. Fighting to win.. Gender should never be involved along with one's pride. Fight. Win. Survive. THis is my thinking for now. "Hai." I reply and we take off down the corridor together. THe halls are low lit, not allowing for a proper view of the entire hall ahead of us.

Left. Left. RIght. Left. Right. So far no enemies as we try and escape the maze Angela has trapped us in. I feel like some damned labrat she is testing to see the results if placed in certain conditions. My shoulder is burning with pain but I must ignore it. Yume is going to have her work cut out for her when it comes to healing me before work. I don't know the true extent of the damage and I am sure the moment my adreniline rush is over I am going to be in a world of pain. Not time to dwell on that matter now. The pain would be well worth it for this excellent training. But I do worry for Jyn. Its a natural thing for me. I want to care for him, but we are still in Angela's game.

Another corner is rounded and I freeze, eyes widening. Oh Kami... Demon possessed civilians. I look at Jyn. This is a bit different from ghouls. Here before us are lost souls who have a demon in their body and are unable to cry for someone to help them. I've killed several people like this. The problem is the person returns the moment the demon is dead, which in turns means you took a human life on top of the demons. I look at our enemies again and take a deep breath. No time to think about the person beneath the monster mask. Plus.. These are simulations. I'm not really killing a person.

Have a mentioned my dislike for this Angela woman. Cause I feel the need to voice it. She is an evil woman with a sadistic nature. I shift myself into a ready stand, wincing ever so faintly. I won't lose this game. I really don't like to lose in times like this. "Push past the pain. I need your help in this babe. Just.. Focus on the battle and when its over.. Then you can acknowledge your ingury," I say to him softly. "You can fight pretty damn well with your hands. Now... Focus on win this twisted game," I add and rush toward the possessed individuals. Four of them leap at me as I use my sonic blade to slice open the throat of one. I shift my stand to take out one of them, only for two of them to hit me.

"Ah!" I cry out as I find myself hitting the ground, pain exploding in my mind. No. I won't let myself fall into that mind trap. I am stronger than this. Jigoku fade when he is knocked from. I grab the whip and beat in the face of one of the people on me with the handle, summoning Reirei in my other hand the moment I free it from under me. I stab the blessed blade right down the throat of the one who was seeking to bite my arm. I have to push the bodies off me and I look up, eyes widening as one stands there salivating as it looks at me, myself struggling to get back to my feet. "Jyn!" calling for his help.

The race to the exit continues in contra code format minus the select and start. As Shiori’s words come in, I remind her not to baby me in a short statement adding, “and try not to break a nail yourself.” I was perfectly capable of gauging the situation we were in, and I fought these types of things on a regular basis. I just normally had ammo at the time, but I assume that her words were more of a pep talk than anything else. The voice in my head disagrees as the dragon voices his opinion that Shiori has long since realized how weak I was as a human. Ignoring him for the moment, I set my sight on the objective at hand. We needed to simply get past so we could continue to the exit. There was no need to fight more than I had to; but unfortunately, there weren’t any foreign objects around the area that could be used as weapons or shields. Shiori is first into the fray and I have no time to formulate a plan as I am forced into the fight as well. She was on the right track; she had a weapon that didn’t run out of ammo. A group of four rushes me. I side step out of the way of a charging attack, planting a foot and tripping the male over as I turn and catch a kick that comes up. My elbow comes down dislocating the knee as I move past him, raising my hand to catch an incoming punch. I pull on the arm and dislocate it hearing the bone pop from the socket before turning and manipulating his momentum and weight into a throw into the possessed human with the dislocated knee. The first one I had dodged comes back around and swing at me. I duck beneath the punch and rise up quickly, jutting my shoulder under his arm and pulling him over me as I come on top and slam my shoulder into his neck before rolling off. Feeling the pain from doing that, I realize too late that wasn’t the smartest thing to do. Still, with four down or at least with their mobility hindered, I look up to see how many to go.

Mother fucker this is going to hurt. I'm all ready hindered due to my shoulder. A cracked collar bone is not fun in the slightest. I can feel its gotten worse. Kami help me push through this. The possessed individual comes at me, Jyn too wrapped up in his battle to help me when I could honestly use it. The being approaches as I crawl backwards, finally free of the pile of dead bodies. WIth a screech it leaps at me and I lay back, summong Jigoku.

Thunk.

My eyes had closed for a moment. I open them and blink at the dead person on my blade. I sweat drop. The thing had been so dumb it leapt right onto my blade. I push it to the side and finally get back to my feet, limping slightly. Crap. Angela made this much harder than the last time I played in her realm. I let Jigoku dissolve away and move to continue onward. I then hear something. I stop and listen. The hell is that. I hear stomps and then the ground beneath us begins to quake. I squint, peering intot he darkness, only for a chill to slide down my spine as red eyes appear. Still the ground shakes with each, what I can assume is the thing stepping. Slowly the thing comes into view and I gasp.

"Angela's gone off the deep end!" I yelp, having to dive out of the way of the huge Golem swinging its club at me. I roll and get back to my feet, closer to Jyn now. I pant heavily now, blood trickling from the corner of my lips. "The hell.. I think she's trying to kill us!"

As I turn around to see how many more there were, I notice Shiori in a compromised position. It would seem that I totally missed her call for help. “Shit…” I curse for my mind being clouded. Before I can get too mad at myself, I feel something big materialize. A thud comes and the ground shakes. “What the…” I murmur lightly as I turn to look towards it. A large golem comes into the area and swings its club at Shiori. Luckily she evades it, but damn, an earth golem? This must’ve been the boss of this level or something. With her assumption, I could only nod. I had forgotten some time ago that this was a simulation with my fight or flight having kicked in full gear. With a gaze at the thing, I knew I wouldn’t be able to hurt it by hitting it or anything like that, so I come up with the next best game plan. “Right…” I announce, “I’ll get its attention, and you hit it with something hard.” She was the one with the working weapon, in any case. Without further discussion, I rush the large golem with full intentions on gathering its attention. I wondered would a head butt to the nuts work? No, that’d only knock me out. On approach, I would be wary of the large blunt object, ducking and rolling if needed. It felt like I was trying to take on Tapp or someone like that. Dark lines start to come across my face as I rush, with a sudden speed non characteristic of myself, waiting for the attack that would most probably come. If he swung the right way, I would parry with a lock, sliding my body around his in an effort to get him into a full nelson, locking both arms and applying pressure to the back of his neck with both my arms interlocked with his giving Shiori an open shot at him. The strain on my own shoulder hurt like hell, though.

The pain it making my vision waver. No. I can't give up now. This has to be the final boss for this. I know Angela is watching us. Jyn and I will not be able to take anymore of this without seriously needing a hospital. But somehow I can't see her being kind when she wants her data. I'm not a lab rat dammit! But with us placed in a maze and tested to our limits, I know that's what we have been reduced to at the moment. Damn sadistic technology witch. I look at Jyn as he speaks up.

My eyes widen as he sets the plan and then moves forward, all ready putting it into motion. I nod, smiling a bit. I can trust Jyn to put in his best effort for this. "Yosh.." I whisper, readying myself for the opening I will need to dispatch this golem in one blow. I don't have much left in me for more than that.

THe golem is more brawn then brain. As Jyn comes at it it swings the club in a 'Me smash!' fashion with not true technique behind it. Franken Golem seems perplexed by the fact it didn't smash the girly girl before hand and now it finds itself blinking dumbly as Jyn wraps himself in a monkey-like fashion, holding the creature. Franken Golem roars and tried to break free.

I take this as my signal and rush forward. "Haaaaa!" I cry out as I come before the struggling golem and slam Jigoku up under its chin. I push with everything I have and watch as my blade slides into the Golem head and out through the top like a hot knife through butter. I then rip Jigoku back out. THe golem let's out a grunt as it seems to realize its dead. I move out of the way has it staggers and finally pitches forward.

Type: Flashback

Feeling her attack on the golem, I release the golem and it staggers forwards with liquids flowing to and fro through the air. I fall into a crouch with my hand on my shoulder, gritting my teeth under the pain. The golem falls to the ground on its face and the environment around us flickers. A voice speaks out over the intercom, “simulation complete.” The environment breaks down into digital lines and numbers before collapsing into the ground. The ghouls, blood and such disappear from the environment and my clothing. The area around us returns to the white walls from where we entered and truthfully enough, Shiori is still there after all that’s digital is revoked. “So you are real,” I tease a bit. The only real damage I had on my body was from Shiori’s blade. The rest of the damage had registered as real in my mind, making it real in the realm, but back in the real world, they were non existent. I release my shoulder, standing feeling a type of “ghost” pain in my shoulder from where the animal had bitten, but otherwise fine; Angela must have had the physical limiter on. Of course, that did not make things better. It wasn’t cool pitting me against Shiori; anger returns to me ready to hear Angela’s explanation. Looking to Shiori, I ask, “are you alright?”

The golem falls on its face, all sorts of shit flying from his wounds. I then hear those god sent words. "Simulation Complete." Thank you Kami. I wait for the realm to fade away and I allow Jigoku to return. I sigh and look at Jyn as he teases me. I playfully flip him off. "Bite me," I grumble and then grab my at the front of my left shoulder as the pain finally hits me hard. While Jyn got wounded from the simulations.. I got wounded in a smashing manner from that damn rubber bullet. I rub it and nod to Jyn, but I know my face is twisted in pain.

I take a calming breath and peer at him. "Its okay. Just my collar bone got bruised from that bullet," I reply and gently rotate my shoulder to see if I can ease how my muscles are pinching right in that spot. I walk over to him and check him for anything major. "Are you okay, babe? Kami that was a close call with Jigoku. Gomen ne."

I feel horrible as she reminds me of the damage gained from me shooting her. If the bullet had been real, then it would have been much worst; but I suppose that was some type of a safety measure. Still, people could die from a rubber bullet if it hit someone vital, like the temple. I frown, noticing her in pain, walking towards her. “I’m fine,” I assure her, “I had my vest on, thankfully.” I was a bit jealous that safety measures were taking for her and not for me. I wait for Shiori to come and check if she needed help steadying herself. I knew that with the lose of adrenaline; the pain could start to come in full force. I look up as the door to the room is opened and the exit is granted. With the frown still on my face, I knew it was time to chew Angela out, even if all she was going to do would be to flip everything out and ignore the severity of the situation for the sake of science.

I smile for him and pat his shoulder. "No worries. I'll be okay.." I reassure him as the door opens. THe pain is making my vision blur again. I can hear Jigoku and Reirei shouting at me to sit down. But I force myself to walk out the door and back into the lab. Crap. Not good. This is not going to end well. I vaguely hear Angel say something to us. But I find myself staggering. Fuck. Its worse than I thought. Pain swamps my senses and all I know next is sweet darkness as I collapse.
