» History / About Me: Ijin Lydeck was born amongst the degenerates and social defuncts within the districts of the Lower Commons. At a young age, however, he was orphaned along with his four year old brother. His brother, Nythyia, took on the responsibility of caring for the young child and himself. Since they were orphans, they were forced to find their own shelter and resources - living like true slum rats. This lifestyle gave them both distinct abilities that helped them care for themselves - abilities that normal children did not have. His older brother's wisdom and abilities trickled down into the boy the longer he was under his brothers care. Fighting abilities, fighting styles, street smarts, and anything else that would provide useful was eventually taken adept by the boy. Nythyia himself had begun to work for the police as an informant and street agent to help bring down the crime that plagued the city. The two were eventually able to save up enough money from odd-jobs to purchase their own run-down apartment. For the first time in their lives, they had something they could call their own. For the first time in their lives, things seemed to be looking up for the young men. Nythyia was providing a steady income and Ijin was excelling in school. This all came crashing down, however, when Nythyia was killed one night while working. It was assumed that a member of one of the crime syndicates he was linked to had found out about his informant status, and had him killed. The brutal way in which Nythyia was killed, however, left doubts within Ijin. Having to scratch together income to keep what the two had obtained, Ijin continued the work his brother had been doing as a vigilante when he was free from schoolwork - something that his brother constantly harped to him about. |
