| Pulling my car to a stop I smirked, putting it in park. I sat there, in the driver's seat, with the radio off. Turning to the beautiful woman beside me I smirked and nodded past her at a building. We were in the one place that a guy didn't bring a girl on a date, though I doubt she would ever let me call it that. Brawler's Alley, the place where the big guys went to prove who had the bigger dick. But I had been asked to teach her to fight. Last time I leave my black belt out in plain sight.
"Alright. When we get in, you watch and learn. If someone comes up to you and everyone else makes room, think fast because that means it's your turn." I explained, before undoing my seat belt.
Climbing from the car I glanced around, frowning as I did. Something didn't feel right but that was just life sometimes. Moving around to her side I glanced at her before leading her toward the 'club'.
"I overheard a few guys talking about this place, so I followed them." I said, smirking as I entered. "Stay close, and they'll try to make me fight with them."

| "If anyone asks, you're wearing contacts." I said, grinning. "This place is pretty bad if you're not careful you can get hurt. So stay close, and if anyone grabs you, squeeze my arm."
I smirked at her and lead her into the packed place. A human ring surrounded a pair of fighters. They were going at it rather recklessly, but my attention was elsewhere. I was looking for cameras. People of 'high society' often enjoyed this kind of sport. It was funny, through time it was all the same. People enjoyed violence, no matter what they said. From the ancient gladiatorial days of the past where men fought to the death to what we called 'sports'. Football was nothing more than a group of men beating the hell out of one another to try and get more points. Evolution, ha.

| "Why the fuck would you need measuring tape? The fights just occur where they occur." I responded, frowning as I glanced at her.
Looking back up at the environment I spotted one camera, probably placed obviously. If so it was probably just plastic with a nine volt battery attached to an LED light. Doesn't matter, I know they're watching. Frowning I turned back to the arena, smirking.
"Watch them carefully. They waste movement. That guy there, watch. He'll draw his arm back and come down from above. A good way to get past a defense, but the problem is that it leaves you vulnerable. Never sacrifice speed for strength. Doing so is stupid. I could take someone out with a number of weak blows while dodging their strikes. But if I leave myself open then I'm likely going to get hit hard." I explain, watching the fight. "Muscle size doesn't have anything to do with how good a fighter you are, something most amateurs don't understand."

| "I often find myself studying my opponent's first move. Test the waters. If they move slow, I move fast. If they hit hard, I don't let them touch me. There are techniques out there designed for defense, and they're just as effective in the hands of a master. Study your opponent, even in an impromptu fight, and you'll be able to find a way through, somehow. Everyone has a tell, you just have to know how to find it. But mostly, you fight on reflexes honed from experience." I said, glancing from the fight to her. "What is it you think theirs is? What openings do you see in their fighting style?"
I smirked, standing there with her, my arms folded over my chest as I waited and watched. She could find them, I was sure and I couldn't point everything out to her. I wanted to teach her to fight and one of the best ways was sink or swim. This was a way she could test the waters and begin to learn the basics.

| "Very impressive." I said, nodding gently. "Big guys tend to go for bigger hits. They think it shows off, as opposed to someone like you or me, hitting exposed areas. Smaller amounts of damage with each hit but it builds up. Speed wins martial arts fights, not just power. If you can't hit what you're aiming at your power is worthless. But you can't be extremely fast and lack strength either. You have to find the balance. Some fighters give up a little speed for extra strength, some vice-versa. That's fine, so long as they don't do what these guys do. They're good brawlers, but in any real fight with someone experienced they'd lose."
I really didn't have a lot of room to speak, experience wasn't something I had a lot of. But at the same time I had more experience with unarmed combat than she did. Who knows, I'd probably have someone to spar with often enough. It was simple enough, and would be lots of fun. She's got skills, and I was hoping to help add to them. Hopefully she wasn't about to turn around and use those skills on me.
"Anything else you see?"

| "No, but you don't have to be a hulking mass of muscle to be strong. Look at us. You're already stronger than most of the people here, and so am I. You just have to temper that strength with skill. And that's what you're here for. Some muscle is nice, but these are just... How shall I say. Too much?" I asked, looking at her. "I'll teach you everything I know. And I know some stuff dear. Pick someone out. Anyone you want to take on or you want to see me take on. Your job will be to tell me what I did right and what I did wrong in the fight."
Smirking I scanned the crowd, looking around. I wasn't sure what kind of person she'd pick, but I could handle myself here. I had a reputation around these parts, but not much of one yet. I had begun work for the Yakuza, and given enough time I'd have more of a reputation that would make it impossible for me to not be recognized out here. I was a low level runner for the Yakuza, but I'd earned my way in with blood.

| "Now why do I get the sneaking suspicion that you're serious about that one?" I ask, quirking an eyebrow as I turned to look at her.
When she pointed several people cleared the way, the burly guy standing there smirking. He probably thought that Mei had picked him out to fight herself. I put my hand on her shoulder and moved through the part in the crowd toward him, the other fight ending as one guy hit the ground hard. I ignored it as the human ring began to form around me and the person that had been picked out by my friend, and smirked, getting closer.
He stepped forward, and I brought my arms back as if to taunt him only to step back as he kicked me in the chest. Stepping forward again toward him I moved, my left hand striking out in a quick strike, followed by my right in a strong, but slow, overhead jab. The first strike hit, but the second he pushed off. But I wasn't stupid, I'd sparred with people better than him. As his knee came up I turned, one arm looping under his knee before I turned, throwing him to the ground, my other hand slapping his ankle lightly as I backed away from him. The show had to be good. I wasn't going to lose but I wasn't going to make everything I did obvious.

| My eyes narrowed as I moved smirking as I slid around moving back and forth, my hands positioned for my combat style. When he came in with a round house I brought my arms up, my wrists crossing. My elbows bent absorbing the impact. Grabbing his foot again I twisted, sharply, his body turning with the twist. As he spun his other leg came up catching me in the side of the head before he came down on his other leg keeping himself up
Going down to one knee I turned my upper body before reversing it, striking him hard in the side of the knee he'd landed on. He cried out as my fist struck home his leg bending in an unnatural way before he fell hard to the ground, clutching at his knee. Rising I stood over him and smirked before turning to approach Mei once again. Stepping over to her I slid an arm around her shoulders before leading her back into the crowd.
"Alright, let's see what you learned from watching that fight. When was the first time I could have ended the fight?" I asked, drilling her immediately as others got ready to fight.

| "When he went to knee me I slapped his foot. If I had wanted to I could have broken his ankle before releasing him. After that it was just a matter of leaving openings. Though I wasn't expecting that kick in the head." I said, nodding lightly. "But you got it. Most experts in places like this will give out several openings for a better looking fight. End it too fast and you'd be in trouble. The crowd will think that someone threw the fight. So you make it look good, but you note things. Because sometimes when you leave, your opponent might be waiting to take money from you. After a fight like that, if I hadn't broken his knee he would have been an easy opponent. Minor level in training, a white or yellow belt or something."
I smirked as I leaned in, gently pressing my forehead to her own before kissing her lips, smirking as I stepped back. I stared at her, smiling gently, more than happy to help her learn. But mostly I was just happy to be spending time with the most beautiful woman in the world. I mean there were some pretty girls around the city. But none of them, to me, could hold a candle to this pretty thing in front of me.

| "Well that's up to you. You will learn anything you want to. I can teach you all sorts of things my dear, but it falls on you to decide what you want to do with it. I just hope that you would be very careful. Who knows I might even teach you to fight with a gun in your hand at the same time." I said, stroking her cheek. "Do you want to stay or go?"
Pulling back I turned to look around, looking back to the new fight that was already under way. He stood there, waiting patiently for the whole ordeal to finish or for her to tell me what she wanted to do next. But I was looking forward to a lot of what was happening. Especially if she wanted me to keep fighting. After all, it would be lots of fun to show off for her.

| "Go for it. Just tell me what it is you want to do dear. If you want to fight then go find someone. If it gets too bad I'll step in, but I'll be careful not to step in unless I have to." I said, smirking gently as I looked back to her.
The group was laughing as the fighters they surrounded were fighting, beating the hell out of one another and very much likely to knock one another out. But that was pretty damned difficult. Nobody knew what was going on at all, but that was life it seemed. If she got in a fight I had no doubt that she'd win, even if she didn't have the skill that I did. She had strength that most of these guys didn't. If she got someone at the same level as her it would be difficult but she might win. Unless they knew how to fight.

| | | "Just make sure you watch closely. I won't accept you just standing around admiring the dirt." A playful smile, knavish in quality, marks her face like a stamp of approval on paper. Turning her attention around, it'd seem that people noticed her when she began to move forward. This does not seem to cease the reverberation of their laughter as they look over at her. It was to be expected considering she bestowed the frame of an older teenager and they were, usually, excessively sized.
It didn't seem like she would have to pick someone, because somebody picked her. "What's with the eyes? Halloween's been over. Don't tell me, you got lost? Do you want me to walk you home, little girl?" He asks. He seems to toss a glance towards Leon as though to taunt him as well, seeing as this guy apparently seen their exchange from earlier, or at least how close Mei previously was adhering to Leon's side. "Really? Come on, little boy. Make me laugh." Her brow escalates as though she were amused by his statement, not taking it seriously and acting nonchalantly. Her implications were blatant.
As before, the usual human ring would begin to form around them. He seems to become serious, irritated by her response. Cracking her knuckles, she briefly surveys him and the general vicinity. "Ya don't know what you're getting yourself into." The male warns. He would start the fight with a slothful right hook, holstering more than enough power. Having seen this coming, Mei sidesteps initially, then pushes the hyperextended arm over her shoulder by placing her palm and exerting a push onto that respective shoulder. It was simple, a beginner's tactic, and his stumbling was fed by the excessive amount of power supplying his attack. Rotating her position to his freshly exposed back, she'd slam an unexpected kick into his ribs. He grunts in pain, but recuperates, facing her once again. [It's a game of speed versus power in this case. Compromise on it.] Mei reminds herself as he charges forth again. This time she addresses him with a swift jab. Though, he suddenly grasps her fist in a moderately skilled manner, in in a rotational motion, brings himself down to one knee and elbows her in her side undefended by her caught arm. Mei coughs, backing up and prying her arm away. She acquires distance by kicking at him, which he was forced to elude due to his offensive action. This angers her. He moves towards her with a solid kick, which is blocked by her crossing her arms at her midsection. It did not appear that he thought she'd be capable of blocking the kick; he's thrown offguard by the rapid depletion of his momentum. Bringing herself in, he guards his face as she throws another jab. Dexterous movements are performed as she retracts the feint, pummelling him with an aggressive barrage to his torso. He stumbles back, seeing as at her strength her punches felt more like bricks.
He regains himself, putting himself into his usual stance. She retorts, "You like that?"

| I listen to the taunts he throws my way and I can't help but smirk, watching him as I waited. My arms folded over my chest as I waited and watched. Mei could handle herself in this situation. The guy seemed like he was no good at fighting, though I had to be careful. If I became complacent I wasn't going to see anything dangerous coming at my darling Mei. I had to wait though. She wouldn't thank me if I stepped in when she was just playing with him. She would give me a sign and at that point I would stop the fight.
I smirked, watching her play with him. She might be doing her best but it certainly looked like she was just playing with him. But I had no doubt that she would take him down at any point she wanted. She was the kind of person that savored fun, and it seemed that this was just that. Fun.

| | | It was true that she was playing around with the person. Though, she figured that it was about time to conclude this little brawl. In small increments she could feel that she'd been able to pick out openings in his moves as he continued to come at her. Which, was what he was doing right now. With an adequate amount of speed he charged like a bull rhinoceros. Her fighting position, since she'd been learning from Leon, looked a lot like his, even if her form was more crude. Mei readies herself for the upcoming strike of the man.
He commences combat with a straight kick. Starting off with a crudely practiced move, from the looks of it, like that would essentially be his downfall. Using her strength to its pinnacle she would half-heartedly welcome the leg-oriented strike and grab his kicking limb with her hands. She would extend her right leg, performing a high kick, showing off, to his face. Her managed to guard with his arms but this motion causes him to lose balance, since he was only on one leg. The true purpose of her kick is shown as she brings her leg downward onto the most upper point of his extended thigh, where the leg began to join with the hip. An unattractive cracking noise could be heard as she probably dislocated it as he comes to the ground in a splits-esque manner. Then, to add insult to injury, she kicks him in the face, hard. "Feel it."
Her pace brings her up to Leon as people continue to stare at her on her way to him. They seem astonished that a grown man had been...essentially manhandled by what looked a lot like a teenager. "How'd I do?"

| I laughed and nodded at her as she came up to me. The crowd was stunned into silence, at least until the next fight began, the lot of them going back to what they were doing. As she moved up to me I cupped her cheeks, kissing her softly on the lips. My eyes closed as I held her to me before I leaned back and nodded at her.
"You did excellent. You're going to be just fine. I'll teach you more as quickly as I can, and you're going to be a great fighter. At this rate you can learn to play with a gun in your hand while you practice."

| "Power comes to all quickly but you have to be careful. Because if you aren't it'll leave you just as quickly. Come on, let's get out of here, and we'll go home. We can pick up some toy guns on the way and then we can start your practice with the technique." I said, putting my arm around her waist.
I smirked as I pulled her along, leading her out of the fight club. It was a good day, since she hadn't gotten hurt, and I was just fine. She'd begun her journey down a path she'd chosen to take. And with this she'd be one step closer to my level. Given time she could teach me to shoot, and I could teach her to fight. But we'd have to actually train to do that. But she was someone I would love to spend time with no matter where we were.
