Training with the Guards

Night time came with a price for one of the Myztix's that were a part of Rei's personal guard. It was almost a forced change every night, despite the artifact being a choice at night. His eyes were always teal until he changed into his other form with sapphire eyes. He wielded a weapon, katana, but also wielded magix powers. His magix abilities were part of Rei's training- Elemental Burst abilities of lightning, with his last skill being based around martial arts. They always attacked each other with everything that they had in trainings, which forced Rei to chant faster to counter the few words that were spoken by his leader of the guard. And tonight was one of those training nights with the lead of his guard, Byakko, named for his calculated attacks in battle and the lightning, which usually took on a white look.

Rei had just arrived, Byakko's hands already gripped the leather of his sword as his hands pointed the tip of the blade at Rei's head. They had agreed that Rei would not rely on the vaspire unless he was struck to the point of dying. The silver haired male narrowed his eyes at Rei and as he spun the weapon once before one hand flashed out as he spoke calmly, "Seas of static assault this foe."

Byakko watch as Rei cursed as the spell was fired off and pushed forward as a long sword was drawn and the slash nulled the elemental attack. Rei moved the sword up and to the side and blocked one of Byakko's katana strikes. Both struggled with clenched teeth as Rei knew this double attack. The two had similar strength, but Rei was perfected in his attacks with a long sword- a fact that Byakko had to use his other skills to make up for.

Byakko was one of his better guards. The guard was fierce was a tiger that was born with white fir. He had seen one in his life- Kazakura's demonic pet had been the only one. But this one fought with furicity that made Rei glade he had picked up the man with the others. An odd group, to be sure, but their skills worked well together, which was all that the vaspire needed. And this one used his skills against Rei's perfected attacks. Yes, Rei thought as he pushed with a smirk on his face, this was the guard that he would use as a general. He decided that it was best to now add on an attack of his own as he pushed his hand into the face of the guard, a silenced chat flooded the air as he pushed his stamina into the air.

Water crashed in around them as he activated his Drowningcycle spell and moved out of the way with a snarl. The opponent simple placed his hand out and pointed it towards Rei, "Bind my opponent to my fate." Rei had just barely avoided the lightning rope- or so he had thought. The rope wheeled and wrapped around his leg. The vaspire was dragged into the raging water ball. Without a choice, Rei cancled the spell so that he did not kill himself with the damage of air loss.

The two were on the ground then, each having been cut- just not nearly as bad as it should have been. Rei recovered swiftly, due to his regenerative powers that flooded through the vaspire body. He knew that his opponent was not so lucky with these types of powers, but he had always refused a healing in the middle of a fight. The man still looked like he was ready to beat Rei, and that was also a part of the reason that Rei valued him.
