| | | The entity deems it to be a long and distant journey from the gate to even manage to see civilization. In fact, the spirit cub had been walking so long its leg are beginning to writhe with fatigue. The canopy glazes the area above it like a massive umbrella guarding the persistent sunlight. There is a house here and there but the vicinity seems spaced. Trembling the canine plops onto the grass abruptly. Its eyes like the most refined coal settle upon a random ladybug that wanders upon its nose. It pushes itself up, shaking its pelt free of whatever had mottled it aggressively. It begins to walk again. If only it could fly. | |

| | | Amidst the bladed-green pavement stood firm and hunched a body or lustrous silver and vernal white. Doubtlessly, it would inevitably catch the candid’s attention, but the opposite seemed improbable. Its back proved to be the only portion of his structure that was visible. Between its slightly in-turned paws pulsed a phantasmal illumination, meek and amorphous. How subtle was the dull thump that had sounded to his rear. Nigh dismissible, but such proved enough for the being’s ears to perk up with the utmost degree of attention. Eyes wide and sightless, his reaction skirting a startle, however fell shy. A glance had been tossed over a shoulder, just catching an apparent wolf cub push itself back to its feet. The light between his paws faded as a faint gasp escaped him. Not long would it be until she found him stationed right in front of her, peering somewhat eerily into her eyes.
“You don’t look so good,” he began. “You okay?”

| | | Generous he had been with the degree of intrusion he presented. A mere sliver of distance remained between them, to which in an effort to restore an appropriate amount, she had drawn rearward . Keeto appeared oblivious, seemingly, to the concept of personal space. Such appeared evident as the being began to circle him. Of course, she would receive an inquisitive look in response, blank and impeccant. Briefly afterwards, she would seat herself before acquiring a tilt to her head. Her lone audience member appeared slightly awestruck for her cuteness rivalled his own – perhaps it was even greater!
“H-huh?” he stuttered. “Oh! So, you’re new? Well, don’t worry one bit. I’ve been here a whole three days, so I can show you around!” He turned and began towards one of the lone homes speckling this portion of Novartis. “I was pretty much in the same state as you. This place is just too big, y’know. So, I made it to about here.” Keeto explained, assuming she had followed after him. “This here is Old Man Kenta’s place. He just happened to spot me. Fed me and even gave me something to do for the time being. See?” He turned around, cupping his paws after moving to his hind legs. A faint radiance appeared after a moment, although did not look particular impressive in any way.

| | | Her grimace had gone unnoticed as did her readied stance – or seemingly so. His attention had been so intently pooled within the cultivation of some kind of energy, after all. It faded with her question, however. “Huh?” The expression of inquiry was beginning to appear more as a catch phrase with each additional utterance. “Nah, no human men. This is Heaven after all. I think you gotta be dead to be up here. He’s got an appearance like one, though. There’s probably all kinds of spirits with different appearances up here.” ‘Probably,’ the adverb did not hesitate to imply that in actuality, he had no idea. He turned before descending back to his fours. Only a handful more steps were required to reach the home, to which the door was already open. “Oh, my name’s Keeto,” he mentioned as he pushed the door open. “Old Man Kenta?” He paused, allowing a thought to surface. “Oh yeah, he left on an errand…” He went inside anyway.

| | | “Yeah, it’s fine,” Keeto replied. His words were spoken with but an evanescing breath, light and all but whispered. Clearly, he was completely confident that their being within the home was perfectly fine; evident with his overly dismissive, felicitous tone. How delighted and excited he was to have crossed someone he could somewhat relate to. Perhaps it was the origins of his felicity. Another question caught his attention. He turned partially, eyes yet to light atop Kyouko as he tended to his own thoughts. “Yeah, you bet ya. Kenta could, but I don’t know how. I think you need to practice that kinda thing. Hey, Kyo,” Keeto beckoned, apparently taking the liberty of shortening her name. “You wanna do that instead?” He asked with a rejuvenated motivation, words crafted swiftly. “We could figure it out together! I always wanted to be able to do that…” He always did want to be able to fly like Kenta – the whole three days he has been there. Of course, what human never had dreamt of flying under their own power?

| | | No time had gone to waste. Apparently, she was willing to practice this immediately. Well, that was okay. Of course, Keeto did not mind. He appeared captivated from the beginning of her efforts. An ingenuous blink ensued. “Already? Well, okay,” Keeto stated, doing little else but continuing to act as the spirit’s audience. Shortly, his mouth would fall agape as she started to drift upwards. That was certainly fast. His expression read, with the uttermost degree of vividity, a paradoxical mix of unbelievability and awe-struck recognition. He was speechless even after her query. “W-wings!” Keeto stuttered as he pointed up to her. “Winds are on your back!” How in all of Koushi had she achieved flight so quickly? It appeared nigh effortless. Such a fact and made it obvious this individual was some kind of spiritual prodigy. “Kyo, how’d you do that? You gotta teach me!”
