Ideas for the priesthood in the past.

Here is a dump thread for ideas for this order. anyone is welcome to input their ideas or join. What we need to figure out before I post it for admin review is....

1. A name for the Holy Order.
2. Descriptions and locations of the three temples that are our character's. If more people want to be in the order then we'd need to have your temple description and location
3. NPCs for the temples and such.
4. Break down of guards, monks and such. (How many for each temple and such)
5. Pics for the temples and Main NPCs.
6. Lists of items for your temple. (i.e. Area Icons, magical shields, etc.)
7. The hierarchy for the temples and order.
8. Laws of the order. And rules
9. Application for new priest/priestess for their intentions and Temple ideas
10. Perhaps a Life Path would be nice for this.
11. Services offered for money.



I think I got everything. If not I will edit as we go until we get something we like. Lets do this quick though. So we can post it to the admin review. Men can be a part of this as well.

2-6, My temple

The Ancient Temple of Time. (T9) On the isolated island. The temple is made from stone. The main path from the western edge of the island is dirt until you reach the clearing of the temple. To do this, one has to make their way uphill for a ways. The temple itself reaches into the treetops of the forest. With a small mountain behind it. The only mountain on the island. The mountain is used for those who wish to meditate at its peak. The main path turns to cut stone with a row of 5 small statues on either side of the pathway. The first one on each row is an area icon (repels demons with strong strength) When touched the right way, the stones light up the path with a magical glow. The other 8 area icons are positioned evenly around the temple so it is protected on all sides from demonic intruders. There is a well tended rock garden on one side of the path and a beautiful garden on the other side. there are other statues around the grounds that can be touched and turned to light. The temple is one of the most tranquil places in Sai City's past. A dim waterfall can be heard as you walk the steps towards the entrance.

High Priestess Kazakura Lin Kuei. The priestess of the temple of time. She is known for her abilities to heal even the most grievous of injuries and illnesses. A few have even told of her being able to bring back those who have past on to the next life. Like all the priestess before her, she is in the process of mastering time. She is can be found traveling to the western clans to help those who are injured or sick.

Kitsu Sasuki. A young priestess in training from a small western village. She is prone to giggle and flounce her developing body to newcomers.
Tatsuko Saki. An older priest of the order, he is quiet with a smile always ready on his face. It is rumored by the clan that he is well over 300 years old.

Guards

Koji Saki. Tatsuko's grandson. He prefers to wield a katana. He is quiet and shy but always smiling.
Kyousuke Lin Kuei. Kazakura's cousin. He wields two wakizashi and rather stern. He has only one eye and wears an eye patch. If asked he will tell a different stoy each time.
Takato Lin Kuei. A master of stealth, his favorite weapons are ranged. Often he has applied poison to these weapons.

Normal

There are five monks that attend the garden and grounds. The also run errands to the village and serve as protectors on treks if necessary.

Some rules I propose. A new character priest should have a title no higher than priest and cannot have their own temple. and SL can start off with a temple of their own. When a young priest/priestess gains some in power and trains a bit (like 3-5 tech packages with at least four techs in each at honed level) Then they can have their own temple. They can submit a temple as a priest and just be one of the resident priest/priestess there until they reach high priest/priestess status.

so i think i'ma have to come up w/the names/pics of the village leaders
the priestess would have to be under them in the totem pole of things but still over the normal ppl
for the non SL priestesses, they might wanna go path of organization to get their buildings (temples) and followers (personnel)
hell, yall might even be able to do path of the celeb
or the political one

Well even if you're not a high priest or priestess doesn't mean you can't put up info for the temple you're stationed at. You may not own you're own temple, but would be nice to give information on it.

I can add in some info to the Temple in Saichuushigai (if thats the name of the village thats in L8) and i guess Shin you can see if you like it.

The main layout of the temple is the large sand garden with a number of large stones with rope and spirit tags on them. dun worry about enumerating items. since they'll be at the temple and not on you i'm assumin they're for temple use. assume you've got medkits etc around, since you'll prob just need em when the storyline calls for them. that way you dun have to worry about gettin money to buy more if/when u run out.

Temple Secret

In many cases a temple was built to house a secret, sometimes more. Perhaps it is a dark secret, such a powerful demon is sealed away under the basement. Or perhaps it is a light secret, such as a portal of some sort. This knowledge, in the wrong hands, would cause much grief. Tell of the secret and how you came about the knowledge. There is always a cost to receive benefits of such a secret.

Reward: A Temple Secret, must be Shin approved.
Requirements: A member of the Holy Order or Light must be present
Status: Permanent OPEN

Rewards: Even Trade of a Technique for another one
Cost: Altering time can have a dire effect for the one altered. You must pay the price in order to use the pool. The guardian will ask for your life force as payment. 15,000 EXP.
