I left them at the elevator and took the stairs up into the main lobby of Div12. I step out and recieve a couple of odd looks. I'm not dressed as an employee. A skirt and a low cut blouse aren't really agent attire. But I smile and walk to the front desk I see. I lean on the counter and smile brightly for the male secretary. He blush a bit and I giggle, flirting to simply make sure the idiot did as I want.

"Hey cutie. Could you see if Mcgrady-san is in his office for me? I'm his god daughter and I promised my godfather I would come and visit. My name is Shiori," I chirp, lieing through my teeth, but hey. If things work they work. The guy behind the counter nods rapidly and picks up his phone and dials the required extension. God I'm good at this. Maybe I should have went into acting. Nah.. Too much trouble.

The receptionist looks up to view the beautiful and flirting Shiori and a large goofy smile comes to his face as he makes he helps her as much as possible. With a light voice he repeats, “Ah, the captain. Let me see if I can get a hold of him.” The male reaches to the side where a phone is placed to the side of a small monitor. He looks up the captain’s phone number in the computer and then fingers the number into the phone giving a wink to the waiting Shiori. There seems to be an answer on the other end. The receptionist informs, “Yes, Captain McGrady, your god daughter is here to see you. She is waiting here at the Metro Central Office Lobby.” There is a slight pause, “ I understand, sir… Yes… I’ll let her know. Thank you and you have a good day, sir.” He lowers the phone and raises his gaze back up to Shiori informing, “The Captain says that he will be on his way. He’s actually just getting in and is parking right now.” Attempting to pick up a conversation, he asks, “how come I’ve never seen you around here before? I would remember a pretty face like yours.” 208

I examine my nails after the flirting, waiting for the receptionist to call Mac-ojisan. I smile pleasantly, even if I wanna roll my eyes at the guy. But hey. I'm getting my way. I listen idly as he gets ahold of someone. Then he looks at me and informs me that Mac-ojisan is coming in. I nod and am about to try and walk away when the guy tries to talk to me. I blink and smile again. Dammit. Now I have to play nice.

"I'm in college. I have alot of activities. I don't get to visit my godfather often," I quickly tell him. "But thank you for being so nice to me," I add with a giggle. God I make myself sick sometimes with my flirting.

He had successfully stopped her from walking off, and he gives his full attention to her engaging her small reply as an acceptance into a conversation. Flashing a grin, he nods and agrees, “a college girl, huh? Activities and partying I bet. You know, I went to college for a little while, but it was hard to stay focused, you know? I don’t really like to read and learn. You see, I keep my mental mind closed so that outside forces can’t influence it because the masses are all sheep. Yeah, I’m deep like that sometimes. You know? I like poetry and walking in the park. You look like a good girl though, huh? You don’t look like you have any bad habits…” 123

Creep Alert! And my radar goes off the moment he begins to talk again. Oh god. Why is it I get the idiot who thinks he's the shit? I nearly sigh, but I keep the smile in place. "I don't party. And the only bad habits I have are winning in my kendo matches.." I pause and look at him with fake sweetness.

"Maybe you've heard of me. I'm Kyro Shi from SaiU's kendo team. My godfather is really proud of me. I also head the martial arts department. Godfather thinks a woman should always be able to defend herself. Don't you think so to?" I chirp, clapping my hands together in delight. God Yume would be cracking up if she saw me now.

But I was too dangerous, so they had to get me to stop fighting. Oh fucking hell. I didn't want to be mean. But the fucktard has pushed it. My eye begins to twitch, smile barely in place. I nearly gag as he asks me out. I then brighten and smile again. Now for the nail driver. Time to make sure this guy's balls shrink and his dick hides.

"Oh.. I don't think I can. I'm meeting my boyfriend for dinner..." I look at him with excited eyes. "You might know him. Asei Jyn? He and I have been dating for awhile now. Godfather introduced us. He says its good for me to meet a man who knows how to move forward in life and secure a nice rank to add to it..." I giggle, keeping the facade. "He's a Sergeant now. Isn't that amazing?" Man. I can be such a cruel bitch at times. But hey. This moron is asking to be taken down a couple of pegs.

Around this time, the side door that leads in from the parking garage opens and dressed in a pair of khaki slacks, a while shirt and suspenders, McGrady makes his way, pulling his avator glasses from his face and stuffing them into his breast pocket. "Shi-chan," he smiles, looking up at her, "I hope I haven't made you wait too long. This is a treat, you coming to see me." 104

I hardly listen to the guy and look up as Mac-ojisan finally enters. "Oji-san!" I chirp and bound over to him with a smile. I shrug. I then lean in and whisper. "Nah. You're saving me from the idiot now," I murmur only for him to hear before straightening. I place my hands in behind my head and smile again. "Also I caught a ride with Jyn. So I decided to give my report in person. THough.. I did turn Jyn into a bit of a sourpuss when I mentioned you. Are you teasing him a bit to roughly?" I ask the last thing in a tease. I think I'll give Jyn a surprise and visit his office after this.

McGrady places his hands into his pockets as he listens to Shiori. A smile stays on his face just beneath his grey mustache as she speaks about him saving her. He peers to the receptionist, and then gives his attention back to Shiori. "Is that so?" he asks. Moving on so that they would not be standing in the lobby for an extended period of time, he continues, "well, I'm always glad to see you, so feel free to see me anytime. I have a bit of time on my hands, so would you like to go have tea with an old man?" 103

I don't understand why Jyn doesn't like Mac-ojisan. But then maybe Mac-ojisan teases him alot more than I know about. I'll have to give my baby an extra treat tonight. Spoil him a bit like I did Little ghost this morning. I move to follow alongside Mac-ojisan. I smile and nod. "Tea would be nice. I have a couple of things to ask you about along with my report that I promised," I say to him, clasping my hands behind my back as I follow him. I needed to know if he got invited to the gala. If he had.. I.. Well I wanted him to bring Jyn. I think my boyfriend has a right to know who he is really dating. I just pray Jyn will stay with me and not shrink away from me when he knows just who my family is. I wish deep down.. I was just a normal college girl.

"Okay," McGrady answers, "then let's be on our way." McGrady looks to the receptionist and says, "thank you, young man." Stammering the receptionist answers, "hai!" McGrady offers his arm to Shiori and walks back towards the side door that would lead to the parking garage. The walk to the car wouldn't take long, it was be the same car they drove in earlier. He decides on a tea shop that is right around the street set on the first level of a large coporate type building. After parking, he gets out and explains while walking to the store's entrance, "it's hard to find a good tea shop in the Metro since they're so advanced with their technology and making everything quick. A good tea shouldn't be rushed, don't you think?" 130

Mac-ojisan thanks the idiot behind the counter and I take his arm as its offered. Honestly I've never had an uncle or anything to be treated like this. My father was never one for sentiments or outings. Parent day at school I was always the one with no one. As long as I was top of my class, nothing else mattered to them. I follow him out and to the car. Its the same one from before. I hop in and smile as he drives us to a tea shop. When we arrive I look at it and find it to be quiant. I peer at him as the question comes and I nod.

"Tea needs to be made from leaves that were well cared for. And the steeping of leaves is different from plant to plant. You need to have a proper knowledge otherwise you ruin the tea and its subtle nature.." I pause and grin sheepishly. "Tea is something I had to learn.." I giggle a bit, cheeks reddening with embarrassment. Tea is one of the few things I can make with utter perfection. Cooking... Well that's another story.

McGrad chuckles lightly and nods impressed, "very good. I suppose that is to be expected. Still, it's a shame, the best tea can only be purchased near the forest. These days, the world is too fast to care for things properly." Reaching the door, he opens it and allows her to enter first. The door chimes lightly as they enter and a mainsteam tea house. There is an area where tables and chairs are set up separate from the counter where orders were made. There are a few business types in the area, sitting down, some with laptops, drinking tea while other ssocialize and hold small business meetings. 108

I nod in agreement. Alot of people sped through life right to their own deaths. I liked to be laid back and enjoy things, though my family was trying its best to disuade me from my 'foolish' tendencies. I smiles as he opens the door for me and enter. I looked around the tea house and smile. Its peaceful, despite all the business men. I shy away from them. I didn't need any of them to be people I knew from social parties. That was the last thing I wanted. Even dressed like a normal college girl, I can't change my face.

I walk up to the counter and begin to observe the menu. Hmm.. Not a bad selection for a tea house. I wonder what I should have. I check the time. A good afternoon tea is in order. perhaps one that is lighter on the palate, yet is distinctive in flavor.

Casually McGrady takes up a stroll behind her and comes to stop to her side in front of the counter with his gaze up towards the menu. “Hmm…” he murmurs while looking up at it before looking down towards Shiori, watching her think over the menu. Deciding to be a bit adventurous, he invites, “why don’t you order something for me. Let’s see if you can guess my tastes. Just order something good, ne?” He stands back casually and assures the waitress that he would be putting the order on his card while reinforcing to Shiori, “get whatever you would like, also.” 102

I blink and look at Mac-ojisan as he speaks. I nod and observe the menu a bit more. I then look at the girl with a smile. "I will brew it. I need your white tea leave along with some of your green. I need the water to be no hotter than two hundred and twelve degrees farenhiet and no cooler than one hundred and ninty-four," I say to her, being quite serious. I see her blink and I smile in a friendly manner. "Tea is very important to me. If not done properly. Green and white tea become bitter and weigh heavily on the palate," I add and the girl nods quickly. She then rings us up for a tea pot service, another girl having listened and bringing everything over on a tray. I step aside to allow Mac-ojisan to pay.

There is a nod of satisfaction and the older man reaches behind him moving his hand into his back pocket. Taking his wallet out, he brings it in front of him and opens it, taking out a silver card and handing it to the young lady who was ringing them up. “You weren’t kidding,” he says a bit impressed with Shiori while the lady runs his card through. After it is given back, it goes back into his wallet and back into his pocket. “So have you made tea for Jyn-kun, yet or do I get to tease him that you prepared tea for me and not him? He doesn’t seem like the type to appreciate such a thing.” 119

I blush a bit and let him pay for the tea. I pick up the tray and pause, smiling at his next words. "No. I haven't made him tea. But I do make his americanos that he seems to love. Extracting the espresso perfectly is the art of making a perfectly balanced americano, especially since he drinks it black," I reply, walking toward and empty table and seating myself. I put the tray before me and pull out my cell to use as a clock. I hum softly as I place the right amount of green and white tea leaves into the metal ball strainer. I then bring it to my nose and sniff delicately. The white tea leaves are very young, the green tea leaves nearly becoming white because they are young as well. But they blend well, the white tea leaves made from a blueberry plant. I nod, shutting the strainer and placing it on the pot. I take notice that the pot is warm and I smile. They knew to warm the pot for this kind of tea since the water cannot be overly hot or the tea will ruin.

I hum softly as I pour in the water, testing the heat with my finger first. i like this tea place. They listened to my intructions. I fill the pot and set down the water, letting the leaves steep, marking the time on my cell. I finally look at Mac-ojisan and smile.

"I was trained by my mother to love tea. Before she passed away she was known for holding the most elegant tea ceremonies for the Kyro Family," I say softly.

He follows along as they move to an empty table and seats himself waiting for her to sit first and then moves over to his chair and sits down accordingly. He watches as she prepares the tea a bit glad that it wasn’t company policy for the employees to have to make the tea. Such an event would have been a bit awkward, but since things went smoothly, things were nice as they were. He is attentive with his gaze and focus towards her while listening to her explains her training under her mother. He answers, “I see.” He sits back in his chair a bit and enjoys the atmospheres. He questions, “how are things going?” 116

I look at him, the tea needing only a good two minutes. I sigh a bit at the question. "Good. Though I was a bit surprised this morning by the fact my boyfriend had an assistant and found her at the house. But I can tell they haven't done anything. She seemed to shy away the moment I got there.. As for other things. I've noted a bit less activity any where near the attack. Though the activity in the lower commons is still on the regular side. I've downed about twenty since the last time we spoke.." I pause and pull out the tea strainer and serve us each a glass. I set down the tea pot and sip the tea, smiling at the delicate yet full taste that carresses my tongue. I set the cup down and continue.

"I have a question. Have you recieved an invitation to the gala to be held in a week's time?" I ask seriously, gazing at him as I lift my cup again and bring it to my lips, sipping delicately. The gala is for grandmother's birthday and is a large social event in which a lot of government officials are invited along with those of the policing forces. I know this is more to promote Nyte Inudustries products in order to keep them ahead of any competition.

I see a flash of pink hair for a moment. I mentally shudder. That woman was such a pain to be around. Even if she meant well. I set down the cup and gaze at him, wondering and silently hoping he has gotten an invite.

McGrady seems minimally surprised about the assistant thing. Of course he knew about it but didn’t investigate too much into the matter. The lower activity could be felt by the entire city since there was a lull after the attack. It couldn’t be helped since so many spirits were demolished without being replaced. He reaches for his cup when it is offered and drinks from it. The cup lowers as he looks at her after the question and answers, “I’m just an old captain. I don’t get invited to such fancy events. I don’t know if I have an outfit formal enough for a Kyro event.” He chuckles lightly at his teasing response. “I did hear about Angela, our R&D director, mention something about the event, however,” he continues, “something about medical research that combines with what she’s working with.” 140

I nod at his answer and sigh a bit. I lift my tea to my lips again and drink slowly, savoring the taste of it on my palate. It was a hopeful wish that he might have been invited. I wonder.. How should I tell Jyn. My family is not like the Yazimitsu family, but enough know about us. Grandmother wants us to become one of the leading corporations, even at the cost of trying to marry me to that damnable play boy that is Enji's son if it gets her what she wants.

I look down into my tea and sigh again. "Hey.. Mac-ojisan.. How should I tell Jyn? I mean.. I really like him and I don't want my family to be the reason he breaks up with me.." I pause and sip my tea again, trying to relax. "I also don't know how Grandmother will react if I try to bring him as my date to the gala. I don't want to spend the night playing nice with men I don't know.." I stop and bow my head. "Gomen.. I did not mean to go off like that. Its just.. My family is pressuring me to marry someone who is big in business.. And.. Well I don't want that.." I blush a bit and peer at the man across from me. I smile softly. "But.. Thanks for sitting through my bitching. I feel a bit better just talking like this." I add and pour myself a bit more tea as I watch him.

McGrady simply listens until she has it all out knowing that she just may need someone to talk to about these things and allows her to vent. He is kind as he advises her not to worry about bitching or anything to that matter. He instead encourages, “I don’t think that boy is that shallow, do you? I’m certain he wouldn’t leave you for something like that. As for taking him with you… he’s… well, how should it put it… socially awkward. Do you think he would be comfortable in a setting like that?” Mac pauses for a moment and adds, “still, it would be good to include him in things like this. Be sure to keep his guns at home, though.” 122
