A Change Of Scenery

The day had come and gone when Lexi had finally moved out of the apartment, leaving me alone in it, though I wasn't sure how long that would last. I was told I too would be moving out of this place, however I was never given a date, I figured they would contact me how they always do and set up a date and time when they were ready for me to move to where ever they wanted me to move to.. Though Lexi was no longer residing in the apartment, I was a bit reluctant to leave the place, I guess you could say I have some good memories of the place.. and bad ones as well. Since Lexi was no longer in the apartment, it felt lonely so I had been getting out on a semi regular bases to try and find things to do in the city when I didn't have to go and do another mission for Psyre..

As the sky began to grow darker in the waning hours of evening I shifted my gaze to the sky as I came to a stop. I slowly scanned across the darkening sky for a moment before turning my gaze away from the sky as I continued to move down the side walk.

Riku's phone rings. "Yes, sir." It is my voice on the other line. "The Den is ready. Move them all." Riku responds, "Understood, sir. Moving them immediately." All five members of "The Pack" would receive a message to meet at an address in the Lower Commons warehouse district. Upon arrival in the back corner of a shadowy warehouse cluster, Riku would find Ruash was waiting there for him when he arrives. "Ruash, that was fast." The behemoth tells him that I had sent him here before everyone else. Riku asks about Yuntay and Lance living in the same place together. Ruash shrugs and tells Riku, "Psyre wants it so, so I'll make it so." Riku nods to him. Tranq and Yuntay who had just gone out on a mission together arrive together and instead of their normal bickering, the two are giggling to each other. Riku overhears Tranq's voice, "You are insane, but that was so much fun." Yuntay replies, "Did you see his face when you darted him and I slit open his chest. Defiling the dead to smuggle drugs around is just nasty. Dead flesh bags are boring anyway. Who'd wanna play with those?" Tranq just giggles as they walk up. The only two missing were Lance and Shock. Riku comments that he's glad that they're in a good mood. They just snicker to one another.

A Change Of Scenery

When the cellphone in my pocket began to vibrate, I slowly slipped a hand into the pocket holding the phone and grabbed the device before pulling it from my pocket. After taking it from my pocket I opened the message I had been sent, since it was from Riku, the only person that contacts me on this phone, I expected it to be another one of his little missions he wanted me to go on. Since I thought it was a mission at first, I hoped it wasn't another one of his 'go rescue someone' missions. The only thing I found in the message was a single address, a place in Lower Commons, since it was just an address I figured it was a pick up or something along those lines. Since I thought it was a mission, I hoped it wasn't another one of his 'go rescue someone' missions. After a few seconds of gazing at the address, I slipped the phone back into my pocket and continued on my way down the side walk. It seemed I wouldn't be going out and trying to find a little fun for the night, with the address, i had to go see what the humans wanted from me now.. I was forced to change my plan of action for the night as well as the way I was traveling but I began to head for the address in the message, though I felt like walking to make the human wait, I wanted to see what he had planed for me so I began to pick up the pace and moved into a sprint as I made for the address in the message.

Riku's phone rings and it's Shock. He tells Riku that he can't make it right now. Riku can hear a shift in his breathing and turns to Yuntay while still on the phone and smiles at her. "Yuntay, I need you to go and retrieve Shock since he's too busy to show up right now." Shock's entire demeanor changes when he hears her name. Riku moves her ear away from the phone as Shock exclaims that he's on his way. There are a few "I hate you" and "You seriously suck" comments before Shock hangs up. He would have to apologize to his date which was really quick because about fifteen minutes later, a motorcycle engine could be heard moving closer and closer very quickly. Shock shows up and looks around. "I'm here. I hope this is important." Yuntay smirks and tells Riku that it would have been more fun if he had let her go get him.

A Change Of Scenery

Thanks to my years of roaming through the Lower Commons, I knew quite a few back alleys and side passages I could take in order to cut my travel time, though I wasn't sure how much it would cut off.. Ducking into an alley, I continue on my way to the location given to me on my phone.

When I finally make it to the address, I catch the sounds of a motorcycle engine which caused me to glance around as I come to the address that was sent to me. I glance up at the warehouse for a moment before I began to move to it. As I grew closer I began to sniff idly at the air as I glanced around more, the motorcycle sound had died down around the other side of the warehouse. Well, now that I was here I wasn't sure if I needed to go into the place or wait out side, or was the drop off around the building?

Ugh, damn humans... I was on my way to the door to the building when I caught a faint hint of a familiar smell. When I catch a hint of the females from my 'pack' I pause for a moment and glance around, were they here too? why were they here? As I wondered why they were also here I sniffed at the air more, following the faint smell. As I began to make my way around to the side of the building where the others were I began to smell more of them, damn it was more then just the females..

I made my way around to the side of the building where Riku and the others are. Glancing over at them I make my way over to the group, glancing to Riku before my gaze shifts to the females of the group before it turns to Shocker as I sniff at the air a bit more in his direction, he had a different smell about him, " .. Is this another one of your missions? " I asked, turning my gaze back to Riku as it shifts into a light glare.

When Lance arrives, Riku gets down to business. "I really hope this isn't the reaction time that you all expect me to get accustomed to. When you are given an address, you need to be there quickly. We don't have all damn night to wait on you." His eyes fall on Shock and Lance. He address the group as a whole again, "Follow me inside." Heading inside the rear entrance to the warehouse, they would notice that all of the windows have 100% tint on them. Once inside they would see a state of the art training facility directly to the left. A game room to the right with a Realm 2.0 station to the left of it. In the center is the kitchen and conference room. As they tour around the kitchen and conference room, they would notice numbers on the adjacent doors. The numbered rooms are spaced out fairly well and organized in a horseshoe. Once they make it around, Riku speaks, "In case you're wondering about the numbered doors, they are your living quarters. Shock, Room 5. Tranq, Room 4. Landon, Room 3. Yuntay, Room 2. The Alpha Male has Room 1. All of your rooms have some experimental biochemical sensors that open with voice command when you are in front of the room. Per the Prince's order, Ruash has override ability on any room here. All of your stuff is already here since none of you were at home, so you have no reason to return. Welcome to what we have nicknamed "The Den of Chaos". Get settled in. I'll be in the conference room for a bit if any of you need anything."

A Change Of Scenery

With his comment, my glare increased as I watched Riku, I was about to say something but before I could he began to open his trap again and speak to the rest of us, damn bastard.. As I begin to follow after Riku and the others, I slip my hands into my pockets and once I enter the warehouse I begin glancing around at the place. My gaze slowly shifts over different things as they come up. I had yet to see Psyre and wandered briefly where he was, I hadn't seen much of him since I was recruited into his little pack.. As we make our way past the kitchen and conference room I glance up at the numbers above some doors. When Riku begins to speak my attention shifts to him for a moment, listening briefly before I look away from him. As he begins naming off who is in each room I listen idly until it comes up to the room I was in, 3?.. and the female had 2 and.... what?! that big dude, the 'Alpha Male' has room 1.

My gaze staid off Riku, looking to the rooms, as he continued the last bits of his speech about the rooms and how our stuff was already in them, so this was my new home, 'the den of chaos'.. I slowly turn my gaze back to Riku and finally speak up, " .. Where is Psyre? " as I spoke the man's name, there was a hint of anger that came to my voice. " I would have been here sooner but I am not like the one that smells of sex or the others, the only thing I have to get me around are my feet. ". I kept my gaze on Riku a few more seconds before slowly shifting it away, bringing it to rest on Yuntay for a moment, " If you get scared at night, you can come snuggle up to me. " looking away from Yuntay I looked to Tranq, " The same goes for you too. " as I finished my statement, I gave Tranq a wink.

Yuntay notices the sound of his voice when Lance speaks Psyre's name. He causes her ears to perk up and Ruash looks at her and shakes his head. Tranq tells her not to get all riled up. Tranq starts to head to her room when Lance makes the comment. Tranq responds, "Not even in your dreams. You are disgusting and I'm not consolation prize." Yuntay snarls at him, "Normally I don't play with dead things, but I'll make an exception and snuggle up to your corpse if you don't shut up." Ruash's deep tenor voice speaks, "Go settle in... now." Yuntay looks at Landon again wanting to rip out his throat so he can't talk anymore, but obeys Ruash. Riku shakes his head at Lance before he walks towards the conference room and signals for Lance to follow him. Once inside the conference room, Riku would ask Lance to have a seat. "First things first, Mr. Prince is taking care of company business. He is the owner of this company, so you won't see him that often. He's very busy. Also, you definitely don't want to see him with the mood that he's been in as of late. That would not be good at all. In regards to transportation, what did you have in mind? If it's reasonable then I'll get it for you. That's part of my job to get you whatever you need to carry out your missions with improving success." Riku opens up the Realm Interface consoles in the center of the conference table before sitting back to hear his reply.

I kept my gaze on Tranq after my statement and as she came back with her own, I forced a light chuckle. When I heard the snarl I turned my attention to Yuntay, though I wanted to respond with something, I remained silent, for some reason there comments made me hurt inside a little bit and that only fueled my anger. When Ruash cut in and gave the orders to Yuntay I glanced to him for a moment and sighed lightly, this man held the rank of 'alpha' in our pack, that meant that he was the leader and everyone else had to listen to him, damn him.. My attention shifts to Riku before he begins to walk away and when he gives me the signal I slowly follow after him to the conference room.

upon entering the conference room I look over to Riku for a moment before glancing to the chairs as he asks me to take a seat. I shook my head faintly to the request to take as eat, I felt just fine standing for the moment, however I did lean against the wall as I watched him as he begins speaking. When the Realm Interface consoles opened I glanced to them for a moment before looking back to Riku as I gave a light shrug, " I see.. He isn't in a good mood, how sad. " I pulled my gaze away from Riku and looked to the Realm Interface consoles again, " As for transportation, I don't really know. I've never drove a car before. My legs have always taken me where I have needed to go so I have never really seen a need for one. So, I'm afraid I have no clue when it comes to picking out a car for the job, you being my 'handler' what would you suggest I learn to drive? "

Riku looks at Lance and first notes that he seems a bit calmer now. Normally there would be a flurry of snarls, sharp tones, and "human this, human that" which the last part has always bothered Riku. While Lance possessed a wolyf form, his natural form is that of a human, so why does he refer to people as if he is not human? Riku has generally chalked it up to an identity crisis scenario. Coming back to the matter at hand, Riku responds, "Well if you can't drive then we will make other accomodations. You will probably receive transport from the retrieval team or the pack driver. Psyre has authorized a truck to be specifically assigned to this unit for all of our needs since Shock and Tranq are the only ones that actively drive or ride. When I send you missions, I will generally send you two addresses with headings. The first will say Pick-Up and that is where the truck will pick you up to take you to your mission area where you continue the rest of the path on foot and the second will be the address for the actual mission coordinates or location. Now if you'll excuse me, Landon, you have some unpacking to do and I need to make some phone calls. Once Landon is out, Riku would contact Crystal to update me on the situation at hand.

Meanwhile, the others are not even phased at the fact that all of their stuff is here in boxes as they expect that I would send people to do just this. Lance on the other hand would probably not be so prepared when he heads inside his room. Ruash finishes first and waits outside his room to make sure that no one gets out of hand.

A Change Of Scenery

As Riku begins to talk, I stay against the wall and listen to him as he explains to me how things will work out since I have no experience driving. I nodded my head faintly as I listen to him go on, I had never really thought about driving a car since I never had a need for it so this way seemed to work out just fine.. As the conversation drew to an end he referred to me by my other name once again and this drew a light glare from me, " .. It's Lance to you. " I said before I turned and left the room.

After leaving the room, I make my way back to the numbered bedrooms and glanced to Ruash before moving up to my door. As I moved over to my door, I remembered Riku saying something about it being voice activated or something along those lines. Since I wasn't sure if I had to say something super fancy to open the door I went with a simple command, " Open ". With the verbal command the door pulled open, allowing me to enter my room. Once the door had opened I stepped into my room and came to a step shortly after stepping though the open door.

I glanced around the room before my eyes came to rest upon the boxes that sat on the floor. As I looked at the boxes, my gaze narrowed, they didn't.. Stepping away from the door, I moved over to the boxes and pulled one open to see what was inside, they did! I gazed down at the contents of the box, some of my cloths. I turned to another of the boxes and pulled it open, again finding some of my stuff packed inside it. Upon seeing more of my things I let out a human growl as I picked up one of the boxes and threw it across the room, hitting the door to my room.

Damn bastards touched my stuff with out even asking me if they could, with out me even being there! Another growl escapes me as I kick one of the boxes before I turn and head for the door to my room again, " .. Damn humans... Open! " I barked out the order at the door and when it opened I stepped out of my room and glanced to where I had last seen Ruash, " .. Is that bastard Riku still here? "

Inside the conference room, a conversation is taking place between Riku who is sitting down and the holographic image of a young woman in a dress and overcoat like robe with her hair pulled back into a bun with mid-length braids extending from the back of the buns. She has her back to the viewing orb as it appears as though she is looking out of a window.

Riku: "Yes, Ms. Crystal. You may inform the Prince that I have handled everything thus far and things are moving accordingly."
Women identified as Crystal: "Psyre wants to increase their mission load. He wants the rest of the Capelli crime gang annihilated. Assign each of them missions to undertake and keep them moving. I want the systematic annihilation of the Capelli gang before Psyre returns from his tranquility trip. Is that understood, Riku? Do you want me to assign someone else to act as Coordinator for this file or do you want to coordinate it?"
Riku (seeming slightly excited): "Yes, I fully understand what you ask and I will get started on it immediately. I haven't forgotten how to do my true job."
Crystal: "Good and keep your dogs in line as Psyre cannot be disturbed. If you have any problems with a certain one, have Yuntay or Ruash handle it."
Riku: "I will. They are wolves, Ms. Crystal, not dogs."

The holo link ends as Riku hears Landon making a fuss about something. Riku already expected it, so he pays it no mind and begins on his assignment of turning the conference room table into a holographic "drawing board" of the remaining scope of the Capelli gang's operation. One of the glass walls shows projections of the previous missions taken against the Capelli gang.

Outside the conference room, Ruash looks at Lance and asks him what's wrong with him now. "Riku is working on getting our missions together it would seem. If something is wrong with your room, make a note of it and we'll address it later. Riku will call for everyone when he's done and you complain about whatever it is then. Now go finish unpacking and getting your room situated."

I looked at Ruash a moment longer before I turned my attention away from him and looked towards the conference room where I had just been with Riku a moment ago. I was about to pull away from the rooms and walk back to the conference room but when Ruash spoke up, I looked back at him, the experiences on my face shifting into an angry glare as I looked at him, " Some bastards packed up all my belongings with asking me first! " my statement was accompanied by another human sounding growl, " I don't care if he is working on a damn mission, damn humans... "

Shifting my gaze, I looked away from Ruash and back to the conference room before I shifted, turning as if I was about to head to the conference room, in doing so, I brought my hand up and slammed the bottom of my fist into the wall, " .. We should just kill them. " I said partly to my self as I looked down at the conference room. Again my fist slammed into the side of the wall before I began to move, though I was not heading back to my room, I was heading for the conference room.

Ruash shakes his head and moves to intercept Lance. "It is because of dumbasses like you who make others think that we are animals. What do you think we are, you damn fool? We were born human and while we each received this ability and transformation at some point, we never ceased to be human. If you continue to act like an animal, they will treat you like an expendable animal." If Lance continued to move towards the door, he would find his eardrums gripped by the high pitched, high velocity howl from the behemoth (Soundoriented) that would disorient his brain enough to keep him from moving. In fact, at that close proximity and velocity, it might be capable of knocking Lance over. "You will learn to follow orders and I swear to you, I will rip you apart. This pack will function as a single unit. Am I understood?" The naturally deep voice of the alpha male seemed to thump with bass as he spoke. The other members of the pack exit their rooms after the powerful howl is heard.

Inside the conference room, Riku looks out and shakes his head. "Thank goodness, they listened and soundproofed the building. If only they soundproofed this room as well. Sound resistant damn sure doesn't help with lungs that powerful." He continues working on the plan ignoring the commotion outside. Riku was not in the least bit worried about Landon. He could protect himself if need be, but Ruash seemed to be doing just fine though.

Though Ruash had moved to intercept me, I was set on getting to the conference room even if that meant I had to go through the big brute. It seemed his words fell upon deaf ears, though before I could try anything my ears come under assault from a high pitched howl. I bring my hands up and cover my ears in an attempt to protect them from the sound, as I do so the force of the howl quickly overwhelms me and knocks me back onto the floor. After I had fallen to the floor the howling had stopped and I looked up at Ruash as he begins speaking to me again.

As he spoke to me, I gazed up at him a few more seconds before looking away, glancing behind me some at the other members of the pack now that they had come out of there rooms to see what was going on. Damn it.. they can see me laying here like a beat dog! My gaze quickly shifted back to Ruash as he finished what he had to say, I wasn't going to let him throw me around like a bitch, not like Saito had done... I may not be the alpha but that doesn't mean I should lay down and roll over for Ruash, does it?! And then, I snapped, " You don't understand! " I yelled as I quickly raise from the floor and launch my self at Ruash.

Ruash growls at Lance as he looks at him. Yuntay shudders herself as she remembers the first time she tried to challenge Ruash like this. Luckily for Lance, I had reeled Ruash in a lot more since then as Yuntay was in pain, battered and bruised for over a week even with her natural ability to heal wounds. Tranq walks up and sees the two fighting. Shock thinks to try and calm Lance down before he makes a mistake, but it was too late. He launched himself at Ruash, who takes a step forward towards Lance and swings his right sledgehammer of a fist at him with such a force that he would be able to drive him into the ground with the strike. If the strike connects, Yuntay would wince and murmur, "Kitasu Pao". Ruash had a lesson to teach Lance, if he was still within striking range, regardless of whether the punch connected or not, Ruash would unleash an Intense flurry of Strikes against the smaller man in an attempt to pummel him into submission. Dominance would be established immediately. Tranq moves to help the smaller and Yuntay sticks out her arm to keep her back. Shock too wanted to help Lance, but he would not cross Ruash to do so. He had seen what Ruash is capable of long ago when he saw him nearly collapse a building with his strength one night and it wasn't even a full moon. That night everyone realized that he was not the one to be tested like this.

Riku is almost finished with his plans as he is listening to jazz music inside the conference room. He is aware of what is happening but he finds no purpose in watching. They will work out their issues and when he is done, he will call them in.

Before I could get to my target, Ruash, his fist made contact and the force slammed me into the ground. As I made contact with the ground I let out a cry of pain and arched off the ground. After hitting the ground I was stunned for a moment and before I could even regain my composure and attempt to get away, Ruash tore into me again with a barrage of strikes. As he laid into me with the strikes I tried to get away from the man so I could mount some sort of counter against his, ' I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die! ' ran though my head, I was unable to get away from the man and unable to do anything in the form of strike back at him, he... he was just to strong... 'Mommy help me! ' I cried out in my mind as I brought my arms up and used them as a shield to protect my head as I lay there on the floor as pain surged through my body, hoping Ruash would stop his attacks now that I was laying here helpless..

The behemoth was not stopping. He wanted to make sure that Lance knew the pain that he could inflict with little effort and that he developed enough fear to know that challenging Ruash again would only get worse before it got better. Tranq had seen enough and urged Yuntay to step in and save Lance. "Yuntay, he's no good to Psyre dead. Ruash should know this. It is one thing to teach a lesson, but he will kill him and Landon can be useful. I know it. He is a asset if he can be groomed properly." On the other side, Shock thinks to step in, but worry of being Ruash's next victim grips as Lance is struck again. Yuntay turns and looks at Tranq. The sincere concern in Tranq's face moves the youngest member of the pack to act. Using her quickness and agility, she lunges into the fray. Shock, unable to watch Lance beaten near to death, dives in literally to shield him. Taking a hammering strike to the back, Shock winces with a sound that is both grunt and growl as he continues to shield Lance. Before he can be struck again, Ruash's arms are bitten and restrained by four wolf mouths. Upon further inspection, one would notice that they are attached to Yuntay. She speaks, "I think he's had enough, Ruash. Having been on the receiving end of that, I'll let you know that that really hurts. Shock, help him to his room. Tranq, see to his wounds. He's useless if he's broken. Give him something for the pain as well. That was a loud squeal." Shock is moving gingerly himself so when Yuntay releases the familiars, Ruash would pick Lance up himself and put him in his room. The big bruiser would leave him with the words, "A pack is strongest when it is united. You must learn that or you will kill us all including yourself." Ruash would look at Shock and nod to him. Despite the fact that Shock doesn't think too highly of Landon, he risked himself to protect him. That is what a pack does. Yuntay stays with Ruash and smiles, "I see you've still got that fire inside of you. Whether you want to be or not, Ruash, you are the only choice to be the Alpha of this pack." Yuntay looks inside the conference room at Riku working and asks what Ruash thinks about him. The deep voice speaks, "He is who Prince chose so he is who I will take my missions from. He's not that bad. If you are concerned about his strength, something about him says not to underestimate him. With you and Landon in the same unit, Psyre definitely knows how dangerous that is, so I wouldn't much worry about it." Yuntay nods and heads back to her room to get back to settling in.

I keep my arms held up over my head, expecting another blow to rain down upon me from Ruash, but the blows cease, instead I hear a grunt and a growl. Since the blows had stopped I pull my arms away some and look up at Shock as he stood over me, having taken a blow from Ruash... My gaze widened a bit as I looked up at him, why did he do that? .. no one has ever done something like that for me before... I kept my gaze fixed on Shock but I could hear what Yuntay was saying, they stepped in and stopped Ruash to save me? why did they... Shock finally moved and I look to Ruash, at firsts I bring my arms up more to shield my head, expecting another blow from him, but instead he picks me up.

I offer no resistance as Ruash picks me up and carry's me to my room. Once he sets me on my bed I turn my head, shifting my gaze to the wall as he begins speaking to me, " .. Just leave me alone right now Ruash. " I fell silent once more as I listened to what Yuntay had to say about Ruash, she... she was right... he was the alpha, there was no way I could beat him like this, he was to strong for me.

The door to Lance's room closes and Ruash walks back to where he was "posted" by the conference room and waited. He had not lost control, but he did not want to stop pummeling Lance when he got the opportunity. That was a side of him that I had worked hard to help him suppress. Ruash is not an animal and he does not HAVE to fight at every insult or disagreement. When he first came to work for me, I was much weaker than I am now and he was just as physically imposing. He told me that while he could probably crush me with his bare hands, he did not want to as there was something about me that inspired him to be stronger and better. He helped me train my powers behind the scenes which resulted in a few moments of singed fur. Ruash was not sure why I had spared Lance, but he trusted in my judgment on the matter. He could not escape the thought that Lance was stuck in the mindset of a pure animal, which is a mindset that cannot survive in this sort of environment run by humans. He would not question my judgment though as he feels that it is a test for his own inner strength and Ruash's ability to improve someone else. Lance would be a challenge for him, but it is a challenge that he is willing to undertake.

Yuntay heads back to her room and gets back to unpacking. Ruash needed time alone so she left him be. While Yuntay is unpacking her stuff, she pulls out a framed picture of the two of us at a carnival about five months ago. She holds the onyx plated frame in her hands and smiles as she sets the picture on her nightstand next to her bed, "I hope you know what you're doing with all of this. He still can't control himself and I don't know what you want me to do other than to keep him alive. Seriously though, what do you even need him for? You've got me and there's nothing that I won't do to help you accomplish your goals. You want me to kill, I'll rip whoever to shreds. You want me to maim, I'll cut them into a pretty little message of limbs and blood. I just don't want you to get hurt for putting your faith in him." She turns on some music and keeps unpacking her stuff.

Inside Lance's room, Tranq releases her claws and stabs Lance in the abdomen. She utters the words, "Deft nec luka. Vempth rue luka. Lu... ka... ru!" to inject a healing sedative into him. He would remain awake, but numb. His pain would slowly subside for the most part. Some would remain because Tranq had not perfected her ability yet. Lance would survive. Tranq turned her attention to Shock as she feels around his torso, she jokingly remarks, "You know you're a slut, right?" Shock fires back, "Jealous much?" The she wolf laughs and shakes her head, "Of you, never! I like power and ferocity, Shock, and you just don't have that in you. Now Ruash... he has power and as our fellow packmate here found out the hard way tonight, he has ferocity like I have not seen except from Yuntay. Honestly, I'd make out with her before you." Shock scoffs and tells her to just heal him before he gags. She thrusts her claws into his flesh and holds them there for a second before she recites the healing chant and injects the healing sedative into him as well. His fangs extend and his mouth gapes open as he feels the effects take over him. Shock looks at Lance and she tells him that he will be numb for a bit so she's fine.

Shock heads back to his room with a big smile on his face. Tranq slices open Lance's shirt to check over his torso to scan for any signs of intense internal bleeding. The healing injection is meant to deal with deep healing first, but something that is intense would need more injections. As now apparently obvious, Tranq is the medic of the group.

When Tranq's claws sank into my stomach, I let out a light gasp as pain began to surge through my body again, coming from my stomach. I begin to bring a hand up and stop her but ultimately stop as I look up at her as she utteres some strange words. After she was finished speaking I felt something enter my body before things began to go numb. As the pain began to numb, I watched Tranq as she began to check over Shock and cut up with him, I myself, remained silent for the moment as I simply watched them.

When Shock looks to me, I look back at him for a moment before looking away. My gaze only remained a way for a ffew seconds before I quickly turned to what Tranq was doing as she sliced open my shirt before she began to check me over. With the slicing of my shirt, I let out a low and weak human growl as I looked up at her, " .... Why did he jump in the way? " I slowly lifted my hand, reaching out in Tranq's direction as I watch her, " Why did Yuntay step in and stop Ruash... you all don't like me so why stop Ruash from killing me? "

Tranq looks down at Lance when he asks his first question. She does not respond immediately as she cuts an "X" with her index nail into certain key points around Lance's torso. The numbing effect of the sedative should prevent him from feeling any pain from it. When he reaches out towards her, she grabs his wrist and puts it back at his side. "You shouldn't move too much. I need to get you patched up so that we can get the meeting that is sure to be coming soon." She has her "medic satchel" at her side like normal and digs into it. She retrieves an ointment then looks down at Lance and back at the ointment. "This might hurt a bit..." She puts a bit of the ointment on her index finger and starts to rub it into all of the markings that she made on the front side of Lance's torso. The ointment dries almost instantly and after a moment, the effect that she warned about would kick in. It would burn inside... a lot. The pain would last for a few minutes growing stronger and stronger during that time then it would fade. The rate at which it would subside varies upon the person and the severity of the wounds. Since Lance was beaten up pretty badly, it might take a while to fully subside, but he would feel much better once it did. His body would still be numb, but he wouldn't be in much pain by that point. Tranq decides to try and keep him distracted from the pain though by choosing then to answer his questions, "Whether anyone likes it or not, you're a member of this little pack that Psyre has put together now. A pack protects its own and that is what Shock was doing. A few more strikes and Ruash might have killed you. I don't have the power to bring people back from the dead and neither does Psyre as far as I know so he would have lost an operative and asset. He doesn't like when that happens. Yuntay has unquestionable and unwavering loyalty and respect for Psyre, so she doesn't have to like or understand his decision to spare you, but she will obey it b/c she trusts him. She also knows that it would have caused friction between Psyre and Ruash. It is much easier to simply save you. Why do you feel the need to fight all the time against anyone and everything? You will be nothing more than a killer as long as you remain this weak of will. Ruash isn't the Alpha b/c he is stronger than all of us. It is because we can trust him to lead us and have our best interests in mind. There is no doubt in any of our minds that we cannot trust you to be anything more than an animal to be unleashed." Tranq was harsh with him b/c she felt that he needed to hear it.

A light groan escaped me as she cut into me with her nails, what the hell was she doing.. was she some kind of masochist? When she grabbed my wrist, I didn't pull my arm away and let her put it back at my side before telling me not to move. With a light sigh, I nodded my head faintly and remained still as I watched her. I was a bit puzzled when she said something would burn and as she began putting some ointment on me, I glanced down at my chest as she put it on me. It was only a matter of seconds before the pain she mentioned began. A burning feeling began to grow inside me, getting stronger and stronger.

As the pain grew stronger I gritted my teeth, trying to hold back cry's of pain, but in the end I was no longer to hold back and let out a cry of pain. As she began speaking I focused on here more and listened to her. While she went on, I kept my gaze on her until she began to question my need to fight. When that came up I slowly turned my head and looked to the wall once more. When she finally finished I brought an arm up in an attempt to grab her arm so I could pull her close to me as I turned my gaze back to her.

" .. Fighting and killing are things I had to do in order to survive. It is something I have been doing ever since... " I pause for a moment, glancing away from Tranq before I look back to her, " Ruash.. I will listen to what he tells me to do. There is no way I can beat him right now... That is all I thought I would need to be.. But, it seems I need to do more then just that. Tranq, if I gained everyone's trust, would that make me the alpha, or do I have to beat Ruash? "

Tranq looks at him and shakes her head. "That is no excuse, Landon. We have all had to make sacrifices. We have all also been given an opportunity at a much better life that gives us a purpose and focuses our anger and rage over what we have had to endure in the Lower Commons b/c of the criminal gangs so now we get to fight back against them. We have the opportunity to make a difference. Psyre's exact words to me were, "You are human, not an animal, but when faced with monsters and animals, you will unleash the beast within to turn predators into prey. For so long, I didn't really get what that meant, but I have grown to know that our young Prince always has a method to his "madness" even in sparing you."

Tranq goes into her satchel again and pulls out a spray can. She goes to say something else and presses her lips back together and just starts spraying over his torso. His ribs needed a little bit of time to mend themselves fully, but since they have a meeting coming up, she needed a quick patch up for him. The spray would be very cold and leave a moist film over his abdomen. Soon after it would start to harden and leave a tight cocoon like torso "armor" around his ribcage. "I hope that's not too tight. Take a few deep breaths and it should adjust itself. Don't worry it will remove itself... probably in your sleep."

Inside the conference room, Riku finishes with the assignments and turns to Ruash who is looking over everything from outside of the room and nods to him. Ruash lifts his head to the ceiling and howls a distinct sound that is a gathering howl. Yuntay and Shock echo the howl as they come out of their rooms.

Back inside Lance's room, Tranq sniffs around and grabs a hoodie or pullover or something larger than a t-shirt that would conceal his injuries as she knows of male pride and would not constrict his breathing any further to put on Lance. She would help him to a sitting position, provided he did not resist her, and removing the now cleaning shirt that he originally wore and replacing it with this new item. "Let's go. Ruash calls. I would not try howling a response. I'll do that for both of us. As for your question about being an Alpha. It is not just us whom you have to gain the trust of. Psyre is the one who makes the big decisions. Beating Ruash would be a feat indeed as it is impossible for you, but he is the key if you ever hope to become the new Alpha. Generally the Alpha is a male, but Yuntay is ahead of you. Overcoming her is the second key. She has a great fondness in Psyre's heart, so as long as she hates you, you're fucked. If it is in your stars, Landon, time and destiny will show you the path to ascension. Do not search for it or you will never find it. Ruash offered that advice to Yuntay when she couldn't figure out how to impress Psyre and thought that if she could just beat Ruash then it would do the trick. When she finally listened to him, something changed inside of her and she gained his favor." Tranq opens the door and howls in response.

Ruash inquires with his eyes to Tranq and she nods to him to let Ruash know that he'll live. Yuntay enters the conference room from her side and Shock walks by Ruash as Tranq exits the room. He tells Ruash that he hits hard and chuckles at him. Ruash nods to him to show his respect for what Shock did and lightly taps him on top of his head. Tranq waits for Lance to approach before she enters.

A Change Of Scenery

As Tranq began to speak I remained silent and listened to what she had to say. When she finished speaking I let out a light sigh and watched as she pulled something otu of her satchel then starts to spray something on my chest, the cold spray causing me to shiver faintly. When she spoke to me I looked back up at her and gave a faint shrug as I looked back to my chest, it felt strange having a cacoon like thing around my chest.. I took in a few deep breaths like she had said. When I heard the howl, I shifted my gaze to the door before looking back to Tranq when she takes a hold of me. With her aid, I sat up in bed and let her remove my old shirt before replacing it with a new one.

Once I had a new shirt on, I begin to get up out of my bed as long as Tranq would allow it.. I didn't want her to carry me in there.. I already looked weak enough when I lost to Ruash, if I let a female carry me in there I would look even weaker.. When Tranq brought up something about destiny, the look on my face changed to that of confusion.. my destiny? Looking away from Tranq, I looked back to my door and let out another sigh.

When Tranq stepped out of my room, I slowly followed after her, leaving my room and heading for the conference room. As I draw near the room, I glance to Tranq before she moves into the conference room and as I come to the door I step into the room to. Upon entering, I glance around the room. Though I had just been beaten down in front everyone in the room, save for Riku, I held my head high you could say, not showing any signs of submission nor any of aggression, it had hurt to get beat down in front of the other members, and not just physical pain, but I wasn't going to let that effect me.. I look to Ruash, " .. When the meeting is over, could I see you in private? " I said before glancing to one of the seats before shifting my gaze to Tranq, I wasn't sure if it was alright for me to sit down, I didn't want to ruin all the hard work Tranq had went through to patch me up...

Tranq walks in and sits down before saving a seat for Lance. Shock walks over and sits next to Yuntay. When Lance speaks to Ruash, the colossus nods to him. "Yes, we can." Tranq tells Lance to have a seat. Riku looks at all of them and nods to Ruash who sits down last. Riku smiles, "I hope you all are done being foolish now. You have work coming up soon. Psyre has issued a Merciless Neutralization Order on the Capelli gang. Landon, since you're new to the fold, let me explain what that is. Basically, the Boss wants them to be a memory. He's only issued this order twice before and Ruash can attest that this is not a pretty sight to behold. All rules and regulations are off during these missions. You are authorized to do any and everything that you deem necessary to successfully accomplish your objectives." Riku tosses a data disc to each of them and continues, "Here are your objectives. Each of you have three secondary objectives and then the joint primary objectives. The primary will be more difficult, but that is why with the full moon coming, that is when you will unite for the primary mission. Ruash, you will issue their orders for that mission and all of you will carry them out. Disobedience is ill-advised as failure in this order does not set well with Psyre. Success in this will gain each of you favor in Psyre's eyes and that is the true currency for this unit. Landon, we will unleash you to the fullest degree. Psyre may not approve of some of your tactics, but I want you to be the beast that got you spared. I want them ripped to pieces, fed on, mutilated, eviscerated, decapitated... whatever you want to do to them. Yuntay, while he's gone, you have full reign to play however you want. The bloodier the better. Both of you are to neutralize a storehouse of weapons, drugs, and valuables. The drugs are to be destroyed, weapons and valuables collected by the retrieval teams after completion. Your second objectives are kidnappings or massacres. The best part about the Capelli is that they love to eat, so the top figures generally have dinner at the same restaurants every week. You are to capture them. You can kill every hostile. The powers that be want your primary targets left on display for the crime scene photos. The more gruesome or sadistic the better. Your Gatherers will cut the power to the building on your command to avoid you being ID'd in this. Your final secondaries will be done together. I am personally offering a $2000 bonus for whoever collects the most kills (Do a stealing roll at the end of this mission - odds = you, even = Yuntay. That is how it will be determined since you won't see her until the end of the mission). The target is their main production facility. It is HEAVILY guarded as you'll be able to see from the surveillance footage on the discs, so just be prepared for a war with them. On the night of the full moon, you will all assault their headquarters building together. It is to be destroyed. You can leave the building standing , but everyone and everything inside should be destroyed. The Cyber Team is already working to hack their systems and copy their files to find out who has been helping them. When you arrive, they will crash the system. The amount of security here by far trumps any of their other locations and most of them are not human, so you will need to work together. Ruash?"

The big man nods to Riku and speaks to the pack, "All of you have your orders. This gang is well armed and well equipped. Tranq, stock up on medical supplies before we move out b/c you will be doing a lot of patchwork. Avoid the authorities and this is the order that chaotic souls like us dream for. Get some rest tonight for tomorrow, the Capelli territory turns red." Riku dismisses everyone and tells Ruash that he'll leave the rest to him. Ruash nods and Riku leaves out. Shock leaves after him and Yuntay looks at Ruash, who leads her eyes to Lance. The female Wolyf nods and tells Tranq that she better get back to setting up her room now that nurse time is over. Tranq gets up and heads to their conference room door leading to their side of the den and she stops and looks at the two males remaining. Tranq smiles and closes the door behind her. She looks at Yuntay and says, "I think he listened." Yuntay looks back at him and nods, "He better. Ruash's beatings only get worse. Big bully." The two females laugh and go into their respective rooms.

And then there were two... Ruash looks at Lance and leans forward in his chair with his hands resting on the edge of the table and his elbows pointed forward towards Lance. "Speak your mind, Landon."

A Change Of Scenery

When I heard Tranq tell me to have a seat, I moved over to the seat she had saved for me and slipped into it as I glanced at the other members of the pack before turning my attention to Riku as he spoke. As Riku went on, I was beginning to like the sound of this 'Merciless Neutralization Order' order thing that was being issued, it sounded exactly like what I thought I would be doing when I joined up with the pack.. As a data disk came to rest in front of me, I reached out and grabbed it, sliding it to the edge of the table. When Riku informed me that I would be 'unleashed' to my fullest degree, I gave a faint nod as a grin slowly formed on my face. When the bonus and was mentioned my gaze shifted to Yuntay, with that it felt as if now there was a challenge set, one between Yuntay and I.. I would have to work hard to get more then her, I didn't want to let the female above me beat me in kills, not if I can help it.

After a moment longer of looking to Yuntay, I turned my gaze away, looking back to Riku as he began to wrap up what he had to say to us. Once he was finished speaking, Ruash began to speak. When everyone was dismissed, I remained in my seat and watched as everyone began to leave the room. As Tranq heads for the door, I glance at her and catch the smile before she closed the door. Now that everyone was out of the room save for me and Ruash, I turn my attention back to Ruash. At first I remained silent, looking at him a moment longer before I slowly shifted my gaze away from him " .. I-I wanted to tell you that... I'm...I'm sorry for what I did... " there was a brief pause as I let out a sigh, " I know that you are the alpha and I am expected to do as you tell me, but I have found it hard since I never had any others like us to listen to. I have always done as I please. But, I will do what you say. What you did showed me how weak I really am, it showed the others how weak I am.... And now, I have to work to change that. " As I fall silent I slowly raise from my seat, slipping the disk I had been handed into my pocket as I glance to Ruash once more, waiting a moment to see if he had anything he wished to say to me.

Ruash remains silent while he speaks and for a moment or two after, when Lance rises and looks at him, the behemoth can't help but see the parallels between the two of them. "Weakness is a relative thing, Landon. You are not weak b/c I beat you. When faced with a larger opponent, it is easy to be overwhelmed. Your weakness comes from your lack of focus. You want to be the Alpha. This much I know, but what I don't know and I don't think you yet know is why you want to be the Alpha. If I were to step down and made you the Alpha, nothing would change. The others would not follow you, you would not receive the respect that you feel you are due, and it would not prove you are stronger than any of the others. The funny thing is that you are the only one who wants to actually be the Alpha and is concerned with that. Yuntay wants to be Psyre's bodyguard. His well being gives her peace of mind. I do this in order to destroy criminals and protect those weaker than me. You need to find a goal or purpose for why you fight, hunt, and kill or you will be nothing more than an animal, Landon. We are not animals. Go get some rest, you need to heal up and make sure that you have all of your strength because we start tomorrow. As long as you don't go and get yourself killed, we'll have time to talk later."

Ruash gets up and heads out. He walks over to Tranq's room. Shock opens his door when Ruash gets there. "What's the rule on having guests over?" Ruash turns and looks at him with a stony look on his face. "I'll take that as a no. Damn it, Ruash. I have some unfinished business to tend to." Ruash knocks on the door and Tranq answers. Ruash walks inside...

I remain silent and listen to Ruash as he speaks to me. When he made mention of me being alpha and not knowing the reason I found I was unsure as to why I wished to be the alpha, at least anything beyond the simple fact that I think it will mean I am stronger then the others in the pack... was that my true reason for wanting to become the alpha.. or was I over looking the true reason I wished to become the alpha.. As Ruash finished, I watched him as he leaves the room. I remain there as I think on what he had told me.. I thought my goal was to get more power so I could protect Lexi.. but thanks to Psyre she had been taken away from me, how could I protect her if I wasn't able to see her that much.. After a moment longer I began to move and followed suit, leaving the conference room and heading back to my room to get settled in and get some rest of the missions I would be undertaking.
