Izumi worked as normal, but was much quieter then usual and the workday passed on just fine. Though Izumi had left a little ealirer in order to get ready for tonight, she had left a note on Jyn's desk that read 'Headed home early to prepare for tonight, See you at the Umbrella Resteraunt after you get off and ready. I'll be waiting. -Izumi' Izumi had went home and gotten ready for tonights adventure, she was rather nervous about it being that it was her very first date.

The Umbrella shopping Center was the largest mall in East City, within that place was a resteraunt called Umbrella Resteraunt. Izumi would be waiting for Jyn at the resteraunt, it was located on the top floor of the shopping center, in the back near the railings to have a rather spectacular view of the city at this time. Izumi was dressed very nicely for tonights events, she wanted to look spectacular for Jyn, she wore a Bubble Hem dress, black high heel stilleto and her hair was tied up into a high ponytail, and rose red lipstick. She was sitting there merely waiting for Jyn to arrive. She just had a glass of water on the table before her, she didn't order food yet wanting to wait for him to get here before ordering anything. I hope this isn't too much trouble for him... Izumi still worried if it was just going to bring Jyn any trouble.

It was a very interesting and long day that I was having. Much of the day dealt with my promotion to Captain and me undergoing the additional training that the Division wanted me to take. Unlike the other promotions, since this one was deemed a bit more important, I had to take various courses in leadership, complete a proficiency test and shadow my mentor Captain for learning all of the added duties that are going to be required of me. It took most of the day and required me to be in my official captain’s attire, meaning I couldn’t be casual for the day. By the end of the day, I completed what was required for that day and was able to return to my office.

With a sigh, I walk through the hallway back towards my office with my hand at my neck, shifting my tie and loosening it before my hand lowers. I look up, coming to my door, and open it, half expecting Izumi to be seated behind my desk. I notice that she had already left and a message was left on my desk instead. Walking to it, I pick up the note and read it. It takes a moment to process, but I nod and remark, “ah, today is that day.” Not wanting to make Izumi wait for me long, I decide that it was time to get ready. Since I was in slacks, shirt and tie already, I didn’t really need to do much, through I wasn’t comfortable in these clothes. I decide I could simply wear them casually and hopefully I wouldn’t be overdressed for the restaurant. It was a nice one, so perhaps I wouldn’t be. After gathering my things and closing my office, I make my way to the parking garage where my car would be waiting.

After driving to the shopping center and parking, I remember where my car was and start to make my way towards the restaurant. I had a good idea where the restaurant was, but I would cheat in order to find Izumi. By this time, I had a pretty good feel of the spirit signatures of those close to me. For example, I could feel Shiori, Ingel and Izumi within a good distance of me, which made it easier for me to find them in case we get separated.

After I got closer to the restaurant and ascended the floors to get to the lobby, I decide that I would probably want to tighten back my black tie as this seemed to be a rather classy establishment. I wonder to myself was this the type of thing that Izumi liked. I knew that she was an actress and songstress afterall. It would make sense for her to like fancy restaurants. Something like this was fine for me, but formal things were not very close to my own comfort zone.

I approach the counter and advise the servant that I was here to meet with someone. The man seems to understand and motions that I could enter asking if I needed help finding the seat. I advise that I didn’t and thank him for the offer as I walk past and towards the area where Izumi would be sitting. When I do see her, I would notice how stunning she looks, which was to be expected. “Izumi…” I greet as I approach, “hey. You look very nice.”

Izumi would wait for the man and just kept her gaze shifting towards the view of the city. It was kinda mesmerising but she had more important things on her mind such as if Jyn actually took notice of her little messege. She looked towards her glass and refilled it with water. Taking another sip from the glass she would gaze around the room hoping to see if Jyn had arrived yet, sadly she didn't spot him. A soft sigh came to her, as she looked over to theview of the city. Jyn's voice had startled her causing her to jump a little in her seat and look to him her eyes widened just a bit seeing that he was still dressed in what he wore for the day, honestly it didn't look have bad, while it wasn't something she was use to seeing him in, but it worked well for him. She blushed and looked away from him as she put her glass of water back down onto the table and she stood up and gazed at him. "You look rather dashing Captain." she said with a short giggle. she remembered about his promotion day and how he kept going in and out of places, she hoped her wasn't too tired for this night. "Thank's for coming, please sit." she said motioning to the chair that was in front of hers across the table, she herself sat back down, she could just feel her heart up in her throat by now.

With a nod, I speak, “thank you.” I pull the chair back on the side of the table opposite her and come between the table and the chair, sitting down in it. I make myself comfortable in the chair before looking across the table at her. The dress really fit her well and I was further more impressed by how versatile the perfect body seemed to be. I look around the surroundings for a moment before I notice the view of the city. It was pretty breath taking in itself. All and all, the seat might be the perfect spot for a little date. Looking back to Izumi, I ask, “I didn’t make you wait long, did I? I came as soon as I received your note. They kept me late today.”

She merely shook her head. "No, you didn't." She was here for a while, but she didn't want to make him feel bad for making her wait. She sat in the chair across from him and she couldn't help but blush as she looked down and fiddle with her glass of water for a moment. "Umm...we need menus..." Izumi looked around and she waved over a waiter who came too the table. "We need menus please." Izumi told the waiter who nodded his head. "Yes mam, I'll be right back with them." Izumi thanked the guy as he left to get them thier menus. She looked towards Jyn, her heart still beating into her throat. "H-how was your day Jyn? Was becoming a captain as you expected it to be?"

I was a bit relieved that she hadn’t been waiting long. I didn’t want her to have waited on my account, but it seemed that everything turned out smoothly. With the call to menus, I nod and agree. The ordering part would probably be tough for me. I ate under the assumption that food was for nourishment. When I went out to eat, it was because it was more convenient. I didn’t go out to eat for other reasons too often. I knew, or at least thought, that women went out to eat for the atmosphere, taste and enjoyment. I could see the rationale in that, but I wasn’t a picky eater and probably could eat about anything.

I look up as the waiter approaches and Izumi requests the menus. The guy leaves and I return my gaze to Izumi as she looks to me. With her words, I comment, “well, it was a bit tiring and uncomfortable. McGrady is showing me some things that I will need to know. I was able to see the new office that we will be moving into; it’s at least got a better view of the city. I can’t say that it’s exciting, but I will like to get it out of the way.” So far, it hadn’t gotten awkward for me yet. I was comfortable with her being around just as I would be if we were in my office. The whole notion of “date” hadn’t slammed into my skull just yet.

Her right hand took a hold of her glass of water just to let the tip of her right index finger just spin in the water just enough to make swirling ripples as she listened to what Jyn had to say about his promotion day. Seemed rather bothersome in her opinion, Poor dear... She thought after he finished talking. She decided to speak about the new office. "Well that's good that there will be a new view in the new office, when will the move from your old office to the new one happen? Should I start packing some of the stuff to have them ready to be moved, or is it already being done?" She asked just a bit curious about when the transition from one office to the other would occur, would be rather convenient if it was done when they weren't there. would save the trouble into having to pack up stuff and keep them in a certain order. The waiter returns with two menus and hands one to Jyn and the other to Izumi. "Here are your menu's when your ready to order please call upon one of the waiters and they'll be right with you to help you with your orders." After that he walked off to give them time to look through the menu and decide upon what they wanted to eat.

“We should probably start packing things,” I admit, “hopefully the change in office can be next week. We’ll have more room, but they’ll have a crew from facilities move over everything that needs to be carried over. It should be pre furnished.” I look up as the waiter arrives with the two menus, taking one from him as they are offered to each of us. I nod with the instructions for placing an order are given and I open my menu to start looking in it. I look through the menu, immediately looking to the prices and the entrees available. I assumed that I would be paying, since I was a male and it seemed socially acceptable. By nature I was cheap, though I had the income to live high class with my position. Being frugal was simply a portion of my nature. As I glance at the menu, I wondered if I should be talking about other things, or if I was being a dry date. I hadn’t much experience with them. Shiori and I didn’t date much and we were basically in a relationship before the dating period had come removing its necessity. Adding to my earlier words, I ask, “have you eaten here before?”

Izumi opened the menu and looked through it the first thing catching her eye was the price of the food, kinda a little eye opener, but it was okay, though it made her wonder why did she pick this place again, oh right her manager told her it was a wonderful place to go on a date. this might be the lat time she would take any dating advice from her agent. she was searching for something that she would like to eat, but not something that would make her appear kinda piggish, even though she did spot some very delicious sounding names. She looked up from the menu when Jyn had asked her if she had eatened here before, a nervous smile came onto her face. "No, I haven't a friend of mine said this would be an ideal place." She sighed just a little hoping he wasn't put off by any of this, she was trying to make this turn out into a good date, though for a minute there it doesn't look like it's going to go so well.

I nod as she states a friend told her about the place. It wasn’t too bad. I felt that it has a nice atmosphere and the service seemed really good. I make it a point to enjoy it as much as possible. My gaze shifts to the seafood section, noting that I hadn’t had that genre of food in a while. Thinking over things, I decide that I might go with something including lobster, crab and or shrimp in it. I look up to see if Izumi had figured out what she might want and I see her sigh. At that point, I took it that I was doing something wrong. I didn’t want her to think that it was a mistake to ask me to come here with her. I thought that she knew my personality from work and everything, but I wondered if she thought there was more to me. Starting to think to far into it, I wonder if she’s currently being disappointed right now by my lack of conversation. I wonder if perhaps I should be more suave? That wasn’t something I was particularly good at. ‘Crap… this isn’t good….’ I think to myself. I speak up, “everything looks good. Don’t worry about what you get, feel free to get whatever you like. Do you have an idea of what you may want?” After my words are uttered, I’m disappointed in myself. I should have had something a bit more interesting to say than that.

She blinked a little at what Jyn said and she had smiled. She scanned over the menu and gave another nervous smile. "ah umm, n-no not really. Kinda hard to decide." she said as she stared at the menu again, her brow arched when she noticed the fish section and she immedietly began to change the pages back towards the other pages that was more directed towards whatever wasn't seafood. Taking a good minute she to think about what she wanted to eat and decided. "I think I'm ready, have you decided what you wanted to eat?" she said closing her menu and looking towards Jyn.

With a nod, I answer, “I think I’m going to have the shrimp and lobster platter. It’s been a while since I’ve had seafood, so I’ll treat myself this time. I didn’t see any candy bars on here for you.” The last part is a slight tease to her candy bar addiction. I fold up the menu and place it before me, resting my forearms on the table and looking over to Izumi continuing, “do you have any up coming concerts or project?” I would be trying to strike up a conversation. The way she looked was a bit distracting. Her cleavage seemed to pop out in that dress, and with her hair pulled up like that, her neck was looking pretty delicious at the moment. It was a shame she seemed to be such a good girl. Still, I was a little less nervous than before, hopefully I would be able to pull through on this one and not bore her to death or bring up odd topics. I would have to, at some time, explain my actions with the fiasco with the demon and asking her and Ingel to leave the room. I would probably get there eventually.

She blinked when he said he was gonna get some seafood, Izumi's was irked by it but she did her best not to let it show on her face. Izumi wasn't really too fond of seafood, but she wasn't about to say anything and do her best to not hurl from the smell of it. She narrowed her gaze as she pouted when he teased her about the candy bar though. That was slightly mean, not her fault that she loved candy bars. She closed her menu and put it down also as Jyn had asked her if she had any projects or concerts coming up. Izumi had to think a moment as she nodded her head. "I do have a few extra's parts to do, a couple stage plays and about two tv shows, still no lead role, at least my agent is refusing to let me try on a lead role until I get more on my resume." She said as she looked to him and smiled.

Seeing her close her menu, I assume that meant that she found what she wanted to eat. As she spoke, I would motion for the waiter to come back to the table. I figured he might as well get our food started while we were chatting. With my attention to Izumi, I hear a bit about her schedule and with a bit of rationale could understand the thought process of her agent. It was a start move on the agent’s part; I guess Izumi had to work up to that level. “That’s good,” I comment. As the waiter approaches, I would offer of Izumi to place her order first, then I would give my order to the waiter. As for the topic I was going to bring up, I didn’t know quite how to start it off. Phrases come into my mind as I walk through a mental scenario of what I should say.

Jyn had called over the waiter and he came over and said. "Are you ready to order?" he asked and Izumi who was given the opprotunity to order first nodded her head so the waiter would know that they are ready to order. Pulling out a notepad and a pencil. "Yes, I would like the Umbrella spicy pasta." The waiter wrote down what she said and then asked. "Would you like something to drink?" Izumi took merely a second to think before she spoke out. "yes, I would like orange juice." Izumi wasn't a strong fan of alcohol and only drank it when she was depressed, but so long as she was cheerful she avioded alcohol if at all possible. The waiter looked at her a moment before writing it down and then turned towards Jyn. "and you sir? May I take your order?"

I look up as the waiter approaches and asks Izumi for her order. I see her only order pasta, so I figure that maybe seafood would be a bit much, compared to what she ordered. Since she ordered something simple, I change my mind on my order and decide to get something simple as well. “I’ll actually have the t-bone steak, medium well, with a loaded baked potato on the side,” I inform the waiter. I continue, “for my drink, I’ll have water with lemon.” I hadn’t seen a bacon sandwich on the menu, so the streak would be the second most manly thing to order. Sliding up the menu into my hand, I offer it to the waiter so that he could take them off of the table and dismiss himself. After the waiter leaves, I look back to Izumi and start off, “I wanted to talk to you about the other day and apologize for not keeping you in the loop.” Beginning off, I’m vague, though not purposely, as I start off with what I had to say to her.

The waiter took the menu's and he was off, Izumi brought her hands into her lap as she sat striaght in her chair and looked over to Jyn who said something about keeping her out of the loop. She arched a brow a little curious to what he ment and thought about any recent events that she had occured when she was with him, the only two coming to mind was her confession and that situation with Loki. She tilted her head and smiled waving it off. "It's quite alright, whatever it was, I'm sure you had your reason's, I'm not worriyng about it." she said that even though she wasn't sure what it was he was talking about. She gave a smile to him as her hand has lowered back into her lap.

With the response, I look down a bit as I think a bit more, moving into a more clearer definition of my thoughts. I proceed, “I want you to know that I trust you with my life, and I would take your words over a demon’s always. I’m not going to ask what the circumstances are that you’ve come to know one another, but rather, I want you to know that I trust in you and know that you would not betray the trust we share. I know your feelings are genuine and I don’t want my actions to discount that. I simply felt putting up that act before the demon would work best at the moment. The demon worked on the basis of control of the situation, and he rejects the more he believes his control is taken away, so I allowed him to think him knowing you bothered me. Ingel was not told this, but did his job well in escorting you. But that is why I did what I did.” At least, I hoped her feelings for me were real and not a ploy to come and bite me in the ass sooner or later. If it were, she did a good job of infiltrating the Division through me, but I knew the kind and sweet Izumi couldn’t possible be like that, even if she was an actor by profession, or at least that’s what I forced myself to believe.

She blinked at what he had said letting it process in through her mind and she just smiled and grabbed her glass of water and took a small sip of it just to clear her throat before she would respond to what he said now knowing what it was he was talking about. "It's okay Jyn, you don't have to apologize." She personally didn't want to talk about work, but she just let the subjects come and go as they pleased. "I was a little bothered by it at the time, but I'm over it as I thought on it and saw on it from a reasonable stand point, so it's okay jyn you dont have to worry about it." the drinks that were ordered were the first thing to arrive and the waiter after placing the drinks onto the table would tell Jyn and Izumi that thier meals would be ready in a couple more minutes and would be brought over as soon as they were done and after that he walked off.

I am a bit relieved to hear her words and the fact that she didn’t take too much away from it. I just wanted to make sure that she didn’t think that I mistrusted her, especially given the amount of closeness that was between us. With a nod, I leave the subject at that after her word and look to the waiter as he comes to inform us that our food would be ready soon. My glass is set in front of me and my hand moves to it as I give a soft thanks to the waiter. As he leaves, my gaze follows him as he leaves, figuring this place had pretty good service and polite individuals; it was a step up from what I was used to. Moving back across the table, I return my gaze to her and sip my water before lowering the glass back to the table. She certainly was beautiful, and for a moment I might have been staring a bit before I catch myself and look to the side mentioning, “you look a lot different from what I’m used to at work. The formal wear is a good look on you…” But then again, everything seemed to be.

He complimented her on her looks and she blushed and she shifted her gaze to the side, the night was still beginning so there was still hopes to turn the mood of the date to something much better. She couldn't help but giggle and respond. "Thank you Jyn. I wanted to look my best for you." She returned her gaze over to him and then nervously looked down. "I hope this isn't going to bring you any trouble Jyn." she said knowing that Shiori lived with the guy. She didn't want Jyn getting in trouble with Shiori just because he was out with his secretary, though he shouldn't get in trouble since he's not officially back with her, right?

I grin at the fact that I’m able to make her blush and look to the side. It was a bit adorable the faces she made when she was embarrassed. There was a bit of a sadist in me that enjoyed that type of thing. It made me feel good that she went through the trouble to look good for me. I feel a bit bad that I hadn’t done a bit more to get ready myself. I’m sure I had something I could have put on that would have made me look a bit more suave; but still, this was a learning experience. As she speaks, my grin fades as I remember Shiori. She was a large part of my life that couldn’t easily be removed or brushed aside. I knew if she knew that I was on this date, she would be sad, and I didn’t want her to be sad, but I also wanted to try this out and see where it was going. The complications of my ex girlfriend living with me were numerous, but I didn’t really want to think about things like that tonight. I tried to keep those thoughts from my mind to help me from feeling convicted and up to this point I had enjoyed Izumi’s presence. I answer her, “ah, yeah… Don’t worry about that.” I didn’t know how I should respond to something like that or why it would be brought up. I don’t say much after that those words.

She noticed that his grin had disappeared and he told her not to worry about it, though she felt that she shouldn't have mentioned something like that. She looked a little nervous by his grin's disappearance and just simply nodded her head as she brought her eyes down to her glass of orange juice as she grabbed it and stared into it and held it with both of her hands. She then began to take a drink from the glass for a moment before she lowered it back onto the table, she licked her lipstick colored lips a moment and then looked out towards the view of the city. What could they talk about? There seemed to be an akward moment that had grown between them, what could be said to recover this moment. "You know...." she started out. "I wasn't born in the city..."

The awkward moment passes some time between Izumi and me. Eventually the time arises when she picks back up the conversation and her question is asked. Looking up, I look out towards the city with her and glance over it. I think I remembered her mentioning something about it before, but I was not sure. With her monk attire, I wouldn’t be surprised if she said that she was born in the forest, but by not being born in the city, it was easy for me to assume that she meant the Metro. “Oh?” I say as I look towards her with the question, “where were you originally born?”

There really wasn't much else to add to it, right now she just waied upon his reaction.

I was a bit happy that the conversation had shifted from my situation to something more pleasant. After asking where she was originally from, she answers with the deep. I thought that was an odd place to be born. I didn’t know terribly much about what the deep actually was, but I knew enough that it was in the forest, though one could also assume it was some area of the Lower Commons. Since the forest wasn’t a place most civilians went, it should be understandable that I didn’t have an exceeding knowledge of the place other than it was “the forest.” Still, with an ominous name like “the deep” it didn’t sound like a particularly nice area of the forest being call “the deep” and all, and I could only assume that it was placed “deeply” within the forest. Answering the soft smile, I comment, “oh really? I’m not familiar with that area. How is it there?”

She thought back on her childhood back in the forest, when the clan was still alive. She would remember watching various demons and spirits atempt to enter the area of the mist that surrounded her family's homeground, only to fail horrendously and be destroyed by the barrier that's set up around there. It wasn't exactly the best place to live, but it was home to her. "It.." she started. "is not exactly the best place to live, but it was home back then." her tone soft and gentle, but happy. She loved her home no matter the danger that was involved there. It was just something about her that she knew she could never let die or forget about.

From the tone of her voice, I could tell that the thought of her previous home was a pleasant one even if she described it as not being the best place. I felt as if I could tell that she had a happy family life at that place and nothing that she really regretted, allowing her to have happy memories. With a nod, I accept her words and retort, “well… I’m pretty normal. I grew up in East City for the most part. I found out recently that my father was a sergeant in the Division. It feels strange that I’m going to surpass him. Perhaps if he were still alive…” my voice pauses for a moment. I continue, “well, McGrady says he was in line for Captain too.” The death of my parents had been one of my strongest initial motivating factors and had taken some time for me to deal with.

Izumi looked at him as his voiced paused, so his father died? Izumi knew the feeling of losing thier parents all to well. She lost her parents at a young age and hardly remembers them all to well. Well Jyn was just a normal guy, well as normal as a cop can get who deals with spirits that is. It was different for her, usually dealing with those who see spirits all the time, who hold powers and so on and so forth, but with Jyn, things felt different. It felt more like how things possibly should be if she was never born into the forest. Like it is a preview of what a normal life, could be. She wondered sometimes if she could live her life in a normal manner, away from spirits in total and all, but she highly doubted that could happen, but it was nice to dream. She didn't look sad to what he had said, but merely kept a happy look upon her face as she softly said. "I'm sure he would have been proud of you." Izumi is rather pleased about this sort of conversation and she wrapped her hands around her glassand let her fingers slide against the glass. "What kind of a person was your father?" She has been wondering about this sort of thing. "I mean... if you wanna talk about him, I'll understand if you dont."

“Oh…” I say as the question comes, “it’s fine.” Describing the type of person my father was wasn’t something that was a painful memory to me. I think back on some of my memories. I had always been quiet and a bit reserved, but my parents were always positive figures in my eyes. We had our ups and downs, like any normal family, but the ups were easier to remember given how things were currently. I continue, “my father was a strong man. Well, to me he was. Now… I know that he was only a human. Since I’ve been in the Division, I know that he must have gone through the same experiences I’ve had with special humans and demons parading as humans…” Seeing them in real life had a way of putting the term “power” into perspective. Most of my “strength” was desperately clinging to my life within the bounds of my own human limitations. I continue on, “…but to me, he was strong in body and integrity. Back then, I thought he was a normal cop, since details of the division are normally supposed to be secretive… we have an odd job, don’t we?” I grin softly.

She was glad that he would talk about him, Izumi was very well pleased about that. She giggled at the last comment he had made about thier job being odd. "It's quite normal thing to me, but to others I guess it would be. You're father sounds like an astounding person." she complimented liking what he had said about his father, he made him sound like such a wonderful person. IT's quite the shame that he's dead. Izumi would lift her glass to her lips and drink a bit of it as she put it down, soon the waiter from before began to carry in thier food. Bringing in thier food he would place the food onto the table, each plate plaed in front of the one who asked for it and then walk off.

She states that this job was normal for her even though I was the one to bring her into the division. I knew she was a monk of some sort, but she never really went into detail about her family and what they actually did. I knew they started out in the forest, so that must have meant they were some sort of demon hunters or something like that. I wondered if she was related to the demon hunters I sent her out to find in the earlier mission before now. It made me feel a bit proud as she compliments my father and I look to the side out towards the city for a moment. I turn back towards the waiter as she approaches with the food. Leaning back from the table I allow the plate of food to be sat before me. With a short nod, I thank him for bringing it before he departs and walks off after setting both Izumi and I. Looking down into my order, I comment, "it looks good" before reaching for my silverware to start off into it. I counter question Izumi, "how about your family? How are they?"

Izumi was countered with a question about her own family, her smile disappeared for a moment as she had glanced down at her food. She had to think on that question a moment as she grabbed her fork and stabbed it into her pasta a moment playing with the pasta. She then smiled a little bit and spoke as she kept her eyes upon her food. "They were..." she started. "...wonderful parents. They were strong and wise and helped me grow up for the time that I knew them. They were rather dedicated to thier work in the home back in the deep even though they were the information collectors for our library branch." She swirled the pata a bit more with her fork before she lifted it up and brought the pasta into her mouth, being careful not to get any pasta on her. She would deposit the pasta in her mouth ad she would chew with her mouth closed. Allowing herself to eat what she had in her mouth before she proceeded to talk again. "They're both gone from this realm now though." she ment that they were both dead.

As she glances down, I wondered had I misspoken. She had never spoken about her family before, so maybe that was a signal not to ask about them. With fork wielded in my left hand and a steak knife in my right, I hold it over the assumedly medium well steak. I look up as I press the fork into the steak with the knife slicing down and beginning its sawing motion when she starts talking. I look back down as her words reach my ears and I lift and take the first bite of my computer. I continue eating and then the part comes that they were no longer living. So that was something we both had in common, our parents were deceased. I nod as I chew thinking of a subject to change things to. After swallowing, I ask, “do you know many people In the city other than the people at the Division?” After saying it, it felt like a dumb question since she was a singer and an actress. I could assume that she knew plenty of people given her field of work.

Jyn changed the subject towards something that was more towards the current timeline. Fixatin her gaze upon her food she took a couple more bites of her pasta and chewed it with her mouth shut, swallowing before she would respond to his question. "Well let's see, on a personal level, I only know you and my agent." She took a moment to think but she didn't reallyhave any other friends that she knew of on a personal level. She wasn't someone that had much people in her life, well those that she could keep and say they were actually friends. "...but buisiness wise I know a variety of people." She kept her sitting position straight and ate was clean as possible, every few bites or so she would drink from her glass and put it down. Glancing at Jyn she would smile and say. "I dont really have that many friends, i'm usually inkept within my house or amongst my business doing my own thing, dont really have much time to just mingle around and make friends, though I am glad with the two that I have, I dont really see the need for anymore." She kept a peaeful smile and kept her blue eyes upon Jyn as the dinner continued.

I go back to eating as the conversation shifts to her. It was a bit refreshing to know that she only knew her agent and I on what she described a personal level. I wondered if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I wasn’t thinking long term or anything, but eventually she might grow tired of me and want to increase her circle of intimate acquaintances. My insecurity would lead me to think that with her lack of close friends, when someone does get close to her, it would be much more powerful then someone accused to being good friends with several people. Of course, there was the large margin in error with my thoughts given the fact that I might not have been properly socialized myself and didn’t know people and their tendencies terribly well; mostly I tended to be paranoid about certain things. Her concluding words go again my initial thoughts and I wondered how true that would be. That would make me feel a bit more valuable if I were part of the exclusive Izumi friend list. I answer, “ah, I see.” With that, I take a few minutes to continue eating pausing in my response and not really carrying the conversation, but more so enjoying the food.

Her eyes lingered upon Jyn as she watched him eat for the moment, she too began to eat as well, not adding anymore to the conversation and just letting the eatting process continue. It felt rather nice right now having dinner with Jyn, it felt right. At least to her it did, she didn't know about Jyn, she couldn't exaclty read his mind. Eatting her food for a while longer she wouldn't say another word, until a few minutes afterwards she would put down her fork, half of her food was gone and she grabbed her glass and took a drink from the glass. After moving the glass from her lips she would speak up. "You know..." she looked off towards the view. "I'm kinda scared about how my acting career is going..."

For the time that passes by, I am comfortable. I supposed it was a good thing that I could be comfortable around Izumi without having to have words between us, but this was something I’ve known for a while. We’ve worked in the same office and in such close proximity with one another, that being around her was a bit natural, making it a bit easier to subside any anxiety that came with the new territory of the date. When the silence is broken by the personal confession, I look up towards her questioningly asking, “but you’re video seemed to be doing so well. I’m sure that you’ll have as much work as you want in the future. What part are you scared about?”

Internally I grin a bit at the fact that she was worried she wouldn’t be able to assist me. I didn’t think myself too helpless, though I did depend on her a lot. I lower myself as a grin slightly graces my lips. I hear the mention about stalkers, and then a bit of over protectiveness seeps into my heart before I remember what Izumi was capable of. If the stalkers were human, it wouldn’t be a deal at all. With a nod, I assure, “I’m sure everything will turn out alright. Maybe if you make enough, I’ll come be your assistant.” I wondered how that would work out. As I think on my joking, I feel a slight buzz in my pocket. Wondering what it might be, I lower my hand into my pocket, hopefully discreetly, taking my phone and bringing it to my lap where I would be able to check it.

Listening to him she merely giggled to what he said about being her assistant if she made enough, that was quite the idea and internally he made her happy to think of such a thing. Rather she was searching for an excuse to keep them together she really didn't want to leave, but if it was going to be like that, than thats how things would be, she would just have to try and protect him from afar. It was going to be quite the dilema, but she still smiled and felt quite happy with his tease. She noticed his gaze shifted downward, but she didn't know to what he was looking at, so she said nothing about it and just ate some more of her pasta and kept a pelasent smile, she believed that everything appeared to be going right. "Maybe you can some to my rescue if it gets too much to handle." she uttered softly.

I was glad that things were going more smoothly now. Her giggle was cute and catches most of my attention as I pull my phone into view on my lap. With a short smile, I answer her back, “with guns blazing…” My expression changes as I note the content of the message that I receive on my phone.

“Captain Asei Jyn,

The demon prisoner, Sanzon, Loki is to be released. He is no longer considered to be a threat. You and your team are charged with assuring he exits the Metro safely. We will monitor his activity and he will assist us in our battle against spirit threats. We believe he will be a great attribute to us after witnessing his great power. We have injected nanites into his system, to assure his cooperation. These will prevent him from being able to bring harm to any humans. They have been well tested. You will assume responsibility for his safety during transport and be his point of contact for the Division. That is all.”

I pause for a moment as my blood turns cold. “They…” I murmur out loud without thinking about it, “…are all idiots…” It was a headache and an annoyance because I very much so disliked the demon known as Sanzon Loki, and would much prefer that he stayed within the confines of the Division until he rotted or the spiritual equivalent. I am distraught for a moment and it shows on my face. With a sigh, I look up, my mood spoiled as I inform, “I just received message from HQ that they are releasing that demon we captured…”

She just had an image of Jyn coming in to rescue her dressed like rambo with the biggest gun you can find, human possible to carry, in either hands a cigar in mouth, bullets dressed around his body, various other weapons attatched onto various holsters on his body. It was quite a hilarious thought and she would have laughed if he didn't lose his smile after staring at his phone. She just listened to what he said about them being idiots, instantly she figured that it wasn't shiori messeging him, she she felt slight relief for that. Though she was curious what the contents of the messege was about and soon got her answer to the unasked question. So they were to release the demon, or angel, that they had killed, captured, and brought back to life, well as brought back as a spirit can be brought back. Then a question came to her as she frowned slightly upset now. "Does that mean you have to leave now?" She didn't want him to go, maybe it could wait till tomorrow for it to be done.

“I’m off,” I shake my head in a ‘no’ type manner looking to my phone. I close it and place it back into my side pocket without acknowledging the message. “I’ll get to it on my own time…” my words are a bit of a murmur. I definitely was not going to go out of my way to run to headquarters and release him; I would do so after speaking with my superiors a bit more. I give a slight sigh as my gaze shifts down and to the side, my mood having changed from light to dark after gaining this news. In my mind, there didn’t seem to be much sense in the militaries actions. I knew they couldn’t possibly believe that the demon would actually assist humans after killing so many and being incarcerated by them. The nanites may be a fail safe option, but I felt that the demon would be able to find a way around them if given adequate time out of our supervision. For a moment I forget how rude I was being with Izumi, being here with her at a nice restaurant and sulking. I straighten up a bit and apologize, “I’m sorry… I’m not much fun…” Looking at my food, I realize that I had lost much of my appetite.

She smiled when he said he was off, she was glad that he was gonna stay, she just hoped he wont get in trouble for not going now. Though she had a slight feeling he wasn't in any rush to set the demon free, and from the looks of it, it appeared that he didn't seem at all pleased by it. She wondered what she could do to cheer him up, she was a little sad that she didn't know what she could do to cheer him up, but she was going to try. He then apologized for not being fun and Izumi merely smiled and shook her head. "That's not true, I'm rather entertained. Come on, you wanna go somewhere else?" she said grabbing her glass as she drank up a bit more. "We can go someplace else, theres some entertainment area's, karaoke bars, movies, and so on. Take a pick." she smiled as she drank a bit more from her glass.

It’s nice that Izumi is being kind on my account, but I know that he is trying to make me feel better, which isn’t a bad thing. I make the mental attempt to not allow the news of this to ruin the night and am a bit relieved when Izumi asks if I wanted to have a change in venue. I felt bad for my finishing off my meal, but I decide it might be easy to take it to go and sit it in my car until I got home, depending on how the night would continue. I do seem receptive to the suggestion when given the options of where I wanted to go. Given my personality, she would have to kill me first before dragging me into a karaoke place. I knew myself to be insanely shy about attempting something such as singing. I didn’t even sing to myself in the shower, so I knew my voice couldn’t be all that lovely. Then again, watching others wouldn’t be too bad, and would take the focus off of myself and give something entertaining to watch. I knew that singing was an interest for her and I wanted to make sure she had a good time while out with me. I could probably grab a few drinks from there as well. In my head a bad idea turns to a not so bad idea. With a shrug, I comment, “we could go to a karaoke bar, so long as I don’t have to sing.”

So he had decided to pick the karaoke bar, that seemed quite the unpexted choice. She wasn't really expecting for him to pick such a place, it seemed so unlike him to pick something like that. She would have expected something like the movies, or something where he would seem dominant in the area of activity. A happy smile formed onto her face. "Okay, then lets go." Time would begin to progress foreward through the unimportant details of the story, and the play switch would be presed and the scene would begin to unfold as the scenery has changed and Jyn and Izumi had entered into a room, that consisted of a table with couches that lined against the wall, a tv was up against the wall, that was connected to the karaoke machine and the microphone, which was on the microphone stand near the T.V. It was one of those karaoke bars that provided the customers with thier own room, so they could have thier own private parties and such. Izumi had giggles as she was the first one entering into the room, looking back to Jyn, she sounded a little excited. "I'm rather surprised you decided on a place like this."

I would judge her reaction to assume that I had made a good choice. Attempting to keep the annoying news of the demon on the inside, I offer a smile in return. In the time that passes, I pay for the meal, leaving what I thought would be a respectable tip as no man wanted to be embarrassed by being cheap. After leaving there, I allow Izumi to lead up to the karaoke bar where we would be continuing the evening. I find myself walking into a room with all of the necessary karaoke equipment set up. I saw, after getting there, that it was the private booth types rather than the open bar type. My oversight makes me a bit uncomfortable, as I had originally opted to come because I felt that I would be able to watch others sing and embarrass themselves. Now it seemed like there would be no escape from me having to do something that I was shy about. As Izumi giggles and steps into the room, I follow nervously, “heh… yeah. I suppose this is a surprise.” I begin to think that maybe there could be a way for me to simply spectate and watch her sing. I see a small drinks menu within the room and decide that I might order me something to drink to help me relax a bit. “Do you come to these types of places often?” I ask as I make my way into the room looking towards the couch and then to the television set. Turning back to the table, I reach down for the small menu and lift it, looking into it.

She smiled a bit looking around seeing the stand and the other karaoke stuff set up. She turned to Jyn listening to his question and she tilted her head. "I have a few times." she stated as she grined with some intent as she eyed Jyn who was looking at the smal drinks menu. "Are you up for signing? Or would you like for me to go first?" She said as she walked over to where the song book was located and grabbed it and began opening it as she waited for Jyn's word on whether he was gonna sing first or not. She didn't mind it, she just wanted for both of them to have fun, and she was getting a little thirsty for some drinks too. Maybe this'll turn out to be an interesting night after all.

My back is to her when I hear the question and I wince a bit with my cheeks clenching as the dreaded question comes more quickly than I would have anticipated. Turning, I give a shy smile as I make the excuse, “I’ll watch you first. You’re the professional.” The sad part was that was the truth. This would be like me trying to throw a football alongside a professional quarterback; which was something I felt I probably wouldn’t be skilled in. I knew Izumi wouldn’t judge me and that this wasn’t a competition, but still… it was embarrassing. “Did you want anything to drink?” I offer as I pick up the small service phone situated in the room.
